10/10 Exceptional

The location was fabulous--right next to the castle side of the Royal Mile. The staff were so nice and helpful throughout our stay, and the room was very comfortable, with a microwave and fridge. I will add however that the breakfast food selections could have been better, and the thermostat was troublesome--it was a challenge getting the room temp right.

Excellent location just steps from the royal mile and across the street from Makars Mash Bar as well as a short walk to Princess Street. The staff was exceptional and professional. Our room was beautiful! We had a corner room with views on both sides. The bed was so comfortable, the towels were luxurious and our stay was wonderful.

8/10 Very good

We stayed here for three nights in July 2026. We were well received by the front desk, everyone was very friendly. The location was spectacular- right in the center of the royal mile, with truly breathtaking views. The room was spacious, but you could tell the hotel hadn’t been renovated recently and some furniture was a bit worn. All in all, we were happy with our stay here.
