We arrived late Sunday morning. We've never stayed at a guest house only traditional hotels, so we didn't know what to expect. Upon arrival, the rideshare driver told us we arrived. All we saw was a beautifuly decorated closed wooded door. We found the doorbell and were let in, again we were only familiar with traditional hotels. Once inside the exquisite courtyard we were greeted by Arianna. She was wonderful. Our rooms (one was on the first floor the other on the fourth floor) were very clean and a good size. The following day we met the manager Harry. He was extremely helpful and took the time to explain the history of Forty-One and the historical elevator. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were roomy, the building and courtyard are picturesque, and the staff is everything. I would recommend this property.
