Hotel Uman is a fantastic hotel. We stayed two separate nights on our way to and from Finland. Nice quiet rooms with all the amenities. Lower level garage is very convenient and safe. Hotel Uman is within walking distance of all Umeå museums, university, river walk, shopping and ferry to Vaasa Finland. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner) and both are free! The staff is superior---very friendly and accommodating. Hotel Uman is the place to stay in Umeå.

We stayed for two weeks, visiting our daughter, her husband and our new grand baby. The Clarion is near the town square with lots of shops and weekend community activities. The river is just a block away, with nice walking/running paths. The hotel is clean, the staff are wonderfully helpful. The "gym" has two treadmills and an elliptical glider, but only 7 dumbbells with a top weight of 9 kilos. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel everyday. Breakfast was consistent each morning, lots of variety to chose from. Dinner's main course was different every night, and always good.

Room in the basement. Booked a room at the Grand hotel - not the Grand Basement. Moist in the room. Small window under some steel stairs. Breakfast ok but at the Grand hotel You could expect fruits from fresh fruit not from cans. Sorry but can’t recommend this hotel.

Rummet var i toppskick. Personalen hjälpsamma och visade att de ville ge oss en bra vistelse vilket de gjorde! Frukosten mångsidig, lyxfika med våfflor och varierad middag. Vi åt middag 4 kvällar och varje kväll en super varmrätt och salladsbuffé. Vad kan man mer önska sig på en semester? Hotellet ligger precis så nära centrum att en inte störs av billjud men ändå är det bara gångavstånd till alla fina sevärdigheter runt om i centrala Umeå. Vill man åka lite längre ut rekommenderas kollektivtrafiken. Enkelt och bekvämt. Vi stannade 4 dagar, det var så värt att köra bil 8 timmar fram och tillbaka från Stockholm (med fikapauser😅)
