Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel
"Great hotel; clean and high quality. It is also close to the metro and a shopping mall."
Harmonious Hotel
"Staff here are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Hotel is dated and not very well kept. I booked a deluxe/larger room but was given a basic/smaller room. The discrepancy was raised to the staff and I was changed to a different room. The room still does not look like the photos on Expedia, so be aware... As other reviewers have pointed out, the hotel in a part of a jointed hotel that's a few doors down, and you you get to this hotel building through a backside walkway - kind of strange. However, the hotel in a great location, just 2 blocks away from Formosa Blvd Station which is where both of of the MRT lines intersect in a very centralized location. The Liuhe Night Market is 1 block away from the hotel, with ample of eateries and convenience stores just seconds away from the hotel. Breakfast is Asian/Taiwanese centric and had a decent variety. Dishes are freshly cooked and made of good quality ingredients - lots of veggies which suited me well on a healthy diet. Overall, this is a decent hotel for a weekend trip or if you prioritize sightseeing."
The Riverside Hotel International
"Before traveling to Kaohsiung, I compared several hotels near the airport and ultimately chose this one. The location is very convenient, with supermarkets, a traditional market, local eateries, and a night market nearby. Transportation is also easily accessible. The hotel provides a generous breakfast every day, and the staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful. I originally planned to stay for only two nights, but because I had such a positive overall experience, I kept extending my reservation and ended up staying for ten nights. Each time I needed to extend my stay, the staff patiently helped me with the arrangements. After comparing this hotel with several others in the surrounding area, I believe it offers the best value for money. I would definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Kaohsiung. The only drawback is that some of the single rooms do not have windows. The air conditioner in my room leaked on the first night, but the staff responded immediately and moved me to a better room. Their handling of the situation was quick and professional. For a more comfortable stay, I would recommend booking a larger room instead of a windowless single room."
InterContinental Kaohsiung by IHG
"The room was very clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very happy to have stayed there."
Legend Hotel Pier 2
"Very welcoming hotel. Breakfast was excellent."
Han Hsien International Hotel
"This is a good hotel. The service is wonderful. You will not miss it. The design is great with big windows."
HOTEL COZZI Zhongshan Kaohsiung
"This is our 2nd time here, great room with large space, we loved the bathtub for kids, staff are so kind, friendly and professional, quick to response all our questions, best staff services for sure! Also we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and their self laundry services, along with gym etc. I will definitely recommend this hotel to whoever stay over Kaohsiung. Plus the location is Right Next to MRT station!"
Guide Education Culture Hotel Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts
"I think this place would be perfect for short-term stays, but I had a longer stay and picked up on more than I would have liked. Pros: Location is in a great spot, walking distance to transit, amazing late night food, and easy for taxi pickup. The front desk was extremely helpful when we wanted a room change and local recs. The price cannot be beat, especially for the space. The room was spacious enough for two people to rest comfortably. The blankets were soft and the sheets were clean. Cons: For staying a couple nights, I might not have picked up on these issues but there were a lot of things that were overlooked. The place overall was quite dusty. The pillows did have some light dirt stain marks, but not a big deal. Most of my issues were in the bathroom. It’s small but gets the job done, but maybe is too cramped for cleaning to want to do it thoroughly? The floors/walls still had some dirt that should have been scrubbed off, and the sink counter definitely could have used a more thorough wipe down. Lots of dust accumulation in corners. Then there was the obvious growth of black mould because of the dampness. Inside the shower there was a sprinkle on the ceiling. Then by the entrance to the bathroom there was a BIG black spot. I actually tried to wipe it and could see spots growing back the next day through the paint! I only noticed during the last two nights so I sucked it up. I would recommend this place for quick stays, but do a room check for any… interesting spot"
Airline Inn - Kaohsiung Station
"We stayed at Airline Inn from 13 Aug 2026 - 16 Aug 2026. We would like to commend the staff at the breakfast restaurant. They were kind and thoughtful. I am a vegetarian, and having told the servers about this, they made it a point every breakfast for the three days we stayed there to show me what were vegetarian among the breakfast spread. One server even told me if I wished, they could arrange to cook a vegetarian noodle or rice dish for me. I was so grateful. The hotel also has a laundry room - two washing machines and two dryers. This should be helpful to travellers but for the dismal state of the washing machine. Both the machines were very dirty, so we did not dare to wash our clothes in them. Another suggestion: Perhaps the hotel can consider setting up a small eating area. There is a comfortable lounge with low sofas. This is not convenient for having small meals. We travel as a group of four and would like to eat some food we bought together. Our rooms are too small to eat together. The hotel staff very kindly said we can eat at the lounge tables, but it was really uncomfortable. All said, we still find that it was value for money staying in Airline Inn Kaohsiung."
