A decent hotel in a good location
The hotel is clean and modern. The room was nothing special, but it was clean and a perhaps little bit more spacious than hotel rooms usually. The bathroom was nice and recently renovated. The location is great, close to the city center but in a quiet area. The street on which the hotel is located is somewhat heavily trafficked and there not much of interest in there, but turning to almost any other street in the vicinity takes you to a nice area. Basic services, like a supermarket, are close to the hotel. The tram stop is almost right at the hotel, which takes you directly to the main railway station and the city center. The Olympiapark is also close.

Poor 2.0
Absolutely atrocious "service" if you can even call it that. I had a confirmed reservation, and upon arrival very late at night, the night shift Front Desk attendant told me my reservation was cancelled due to a faulty credit card (which was total utter bullshit) and tells me there are no more rooms available. Any cancellation or problems with a faulty credit card should lead to a notification, but I did not receive any - because there was no problem. I knew immediately that they unilaterally decided to cancel my room and make a quick buck because I had not checked in. The Front Desk attendant continued to insist it was the credit card and wasted my time. He then tells me he can get me a room at another hotel 20 min away by taxi, which he cheekily expected me to pay for. He then attended other guests before sorting me out. I ended up going to another Leonardo hotel at 01:00am, also not having been able to eat anything. Front Desk attendant and the management that cancelled my room and wasted my time - again absolutely atrocious. Will never give this hotel chain another cent. And will certainly ensure that no one I associate with stays especially here.

Good hotel
Was in this hotel 3 nights in September 2019. Pros: - Adequate price - Very good breakfast - Comfortable room - Location is not central and no metro station around, but tram stop in 200 meters and just 10 mins on tram to/from center. Cons: - Pillows are not great. One too thin and one too thick. - Staff on a reception during check-in was not welcome. Just gave the keys and not explained about breakfast - had to ask her by myself. Other reception staff was more welcome.

Good, but not great
Nice hotel: clean, modern, decent breakfast buffet. I used the internet to work at the hotel in the evening, and the connection has been excellent each time that I have stayed here. There were a few glitches in my room (e.g. broken bathroom lamp), but they were quickly repaired when I noted them at the reception desk. I was not impressed by the customer service. The staff is very friendly. But this is my fourth stay in four months, and the hotel yet again was not aware that I was a returning customer. I got the tiniest room in the whole hotel, one of the few without a balcony. The employee who did my check-out never confirmed the items from the bar with me and forgot to add the Leonardo discount. When I later checked my credit card statement, I found that the hotel had accidentally twice booked the amount for my stay. They had corrected this on their own and booked one back, without me having to contact them. But all these points are lacking the level of professionalism that I would expect from this kind of hotel. The hotel advertises the usual "green" policies of not exchanging towels that are hung up in the bathroom. The do not follow this, though, and have provided new towels each day during each of my stays. I will stay there again during my next business trip to Munich because it is located close to my client.

Nice hotel, close to Olympic Park
We chose this hotel because it was close to a friend's home and relatively well located near Olympic Park. The hotel is clean, and bathrooms are modern. The room was spacious. I have learned in Germany not to expect a king bed as we have in the US. They push two single beds together and provide two comfortors. This leaves a crack in the middle of the bed, so if one would like to cuddle with one's partner, someone might fall in! This was a bit unusual for me, but I learned it was pretty standard in the country. The halls are a bit sparse, and no doorman. We stayed for two nights at the beginning of our trip, and one night prior to departure from the airport. It does require a short tram ride to travel to the shopping district and area where museums are located. We had an unfortunate customer service issue. When we checked in during our last visit, we communicated that we needed parking. The next morning when I checked out, Dana said everything was prepaid and could go. We could not get out of the parking deck, and now we were at risk for being late to the airport. I returned to ask Dana if there was something special I needed to do to get out, and she screamed "You did not tell me you parked!!!!" .She screamed this in front of other guests. It was SO was not my responsibility to inform the hotel I was parking in their facility when the initial receptionist knew this.. I wassurprised that a 4 star hotel would have staff that treat clients this way.
