Free breakfast was good and room was nice. Would recommend this property for the convenient location to train and restaurants.
We loved the hotel: room was clean and cozy, breakfast buffet (which is included) was fantastic, extremely convenient location close to the main train station (hauftbanhauf), 10-15 minute walk to main city center, and we had no issues at all with noise. Also liked the art/sculptures placed around the hotel, gave it sort of a chic/modern feel. Lastly, the front desk service was superb, helped with our every need. Overall, excellent hotel and location for a stay in Munich.
excellent location, steps from the train station. great breakfast.
The common area was nice, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I'm giving the arthotel a lower rating though because I didn't like the layout of my room. Size is not the problem; I understand that a single twin room will be smaller. But the layout wasted a lot of space and made my stay unnecessarily uncomfortable. I would not return to this hotel.
Not to nitpick but, only one pillow per bed was provided and, not very good ones either, other than that, the hotel is very good and clean.
The hotel breakfast each morning was nice...plenty of options. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and metro, which was quite handy.
The property is excellently located, a short five minute walk from the main train station, closer to ten minutes if you get stuck at the multiple pedestrian crossings. The area around the hotel can appear a bit seedy, but we felt safe everywhere we strolled. Check-in was swift, but we found the front desk staff aloof and not very pleasant. We accessed the front desk on other occasions, when other employees were working, and the staff was friendlier. In fact, they graciously extended our check out an extra hour to accommodate our train departure, and that was much appreciated. Breakfast is nice, although the breakfast room is a bit small. If the hotel is fully occupied, finding a table may be a problem. There was a reasonable variety of breads, meats, cheeses and fruits. The breakfast staff was very friendly. We stayed in the annex, and the room, despite being the smallest one advertised, was plenty spacious for two. We even separated the beds to provide additional space. The beds aren't the most comfortable, but we've certainly had worse. The bathroom had a full shower and sink. Additional towel and hanging rods would've been nice. Although the hotel represented that it provides bathroom soaps, etc., it was dispensed from a squeeze bottle that was inconvenient, low quality and dried out the hands. Had we known, we would've brought our own along. In general, we liked this property, and the minor complaints are offset by the convenience and moderate price. We'd stay here again.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here a lot. We are a family of four and the accommodations worked out perfectly. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the parking. We had a rental and we were told their parking lot was full so we had to park on the street. Luckly we found a spot right in front of the hotel.
Was in very close proximity to train and bus station. Walkable to everything around.
Fun and eclectic decor, Helpful staff, Very cool… And a great breakfast buffet. Being that I don’t speak German… I did not realize we had to reserve parking for the hotel in advance. So we had to park on the street. But that was it so bad either.
