No lift to 4th flr, sewage smell in bathrrom
Cannot recommend this hotel due to: very bad sewage smell in bathroom (told staff and bought an air freshner and left fan on all the time...with absolutely no improvement), lift only goes to 3rd floor....while we were on the 4th flr (we had to drag our large suitcases up winding staircase to our flr), walls are thin so noise travels into the room, hotel charges extra 4% to use a card to pay, bad wifi signal, there is no barrier on the floor for the shower so water gets everwhere and the shower is so small / is a rainfall shower only so it is very difficult to shower, and the bed & room is small with no storage (for luggage or toiletries). Pros: Hotel is in a decent location, daystaff friendly, kettle in room, and cleaners left fresh linens each day.

Staff always helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Location especially convenient for the Concertgebouw; excellent for several museums. Near tram stops for access to the rest of the city, and near stop for the direct bus from Schiphol (#197).

Very convenient location, walking distance to the museums, lots of good places to eat nearby, friendly, helpful and courteous staff, family friendly, clean room and bathroom. Definitely recommend to stay.
