Improve Regal Reception or Don't Stay Here
Unfortunately I had one of those stays where everything kept getting worse and worse. People smoking and yelling in the hallway, two twin beds that made a king yet the 2 beds weren't equal in size, old bedding, no hot water... the list is much larger. The problem though isn't that I had these unfortunate experiences, it's that the hotel didn't help solve it. The first time I went to reception they said that it's not true, this is a smoke-free building. It would've been good for staff to look. I decided to book another hotel assuming the hotel would reimburse me for the nights I wouldn't use. Bad assumption. Overall, I've very displeased with the way Regal handled this experience.

Exceptional 10.0
The only problem we had was the lack of electric plugs. The front desk was very helpful offering adapters and extension cord with multiple plugs.

I could not turn off the a/c and the room was very cold. The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet excellent.

Reception area
I would make one recommendation to Regal! Take half of the lobby lounge and turn it into an awesome larger and inviting reception and comfortable checkin and checkout! Make the existing receptionthe bell hop and baggage section! Right now, the reception area is way too small!! Too congested with checikin!

not my favorite hotel in HK. the check in area is small and cramped. no one seems very happy to see you arrive. no seating in the lobby unless you have a drink, so you are left standing around—again, not welcoming! i was on the exec floor which had a separate check in that no one shared until after i was in line for 20 min. the exec lounge is pathetic compared to anywhere else in asia. and the bed is PAINFULLY hard and uncomfortable. i would make another choice next trip. the only redeeming feature was a free shuttle to the airport!!

Poor 2.0
Old rooms and unpleasant staff
The room smelled very bad - musty and moldy. I switched rooms and the second room was not much better. It also felt old and dirty - the couch had stains on it. The service was poor. The staff at check in were slow and unresponsive when I tried to change rooms. No one picked up my calls when I called the front desk. I had a do not disturb sign on my room and the cleaning lady cornered me at the elevator asking for my room number and that she needed to clean my room despite my demands for her not to. The only positive was that it was a convenient location for my business obligations and that the lobby was large and clean. I do not recommend this hotel.

Enjoyable stay, good location!
A lot of reviewers say was outdated - usually that means old / dirty to me. It was outdated but in a cool way - was very clean. We loved the location - was ~4 minute walk to the MTR station. Lots of good / quick street food and sit down restaurants. I read in some reviews that there was at least one bar in the hotel - not the case. No poolside bar, no bar at all. The Tiffany Lounge downstairs does not serve alcohol. Not until we were ready to leave did we realize a cool bar down the street (Brecht's) that we enjoyed. There were some kids in our group - they loved the pool, it has nice views at night. FYI - if you have a room for 2 people, you can only connect two devices to wi-fi (can't be undone). Same for room for 4 - you get 4 connections. We never ate at hotel breakfast buffet or restaurant - looked too expensive, but we did eat at Din Tai Fung downstairs for dim sum and LOVED it, was ~$425HK for 6 of us (we thought was good deal). If we came back to Hong Kong, I would definitely stay here again :)

Good 6.0
Great location, poor facility
Things need to improve: 1. The corridor has a smell.. but the good part after you enter the room, the smell is gone. It helps by the aircon. 2. They don’t have the handheld shower. 3. Facial tissue box was empty, when we first arrived. So i was wondering if they really clean the room. 4. The bed cover has lots of black dot on the side. Advantage: 1. Good location 2. Service of the bellboy is great. So i don’t think, this is consider as 5 star hotel. I will give as 3.5 star.
