Historical hotel in perfect location for exploring
Lovely hotel in several side by side older homes close to Halifax Harbour. Smaller room but excellent bed bathroom and everything we needed. Our room even had a nice balcony where we could drink morning coffee.

It was comfortable and clean and wonderful and all the staff were so kind. The steps for older people are not so good they should probably go on the first floor but anyway it was really lovely

Last minute online booking and we were pleased.
I booked online at the last minute. The room which was available was in the basement....bathroom was private but across the hall. I wasn't thrilled with that but it all worked out fine. The room was wonderful and the bed was amazing. We were only there for one night. The breakfast is a buffet. Parking lot is small but we were able to get a space and it is free parking. I am not sure if the online booking said the bathroom was down the hall or if I just do not remember. Anyway, heads up when you book....check the details. The Halliburton is a beautiful old home and at one time was also a law school. I would definately stay there again.

Watch this one
If you get the adjoining real estate, the building is old, rooms are small with lots of furniture, stairs are narrow with steep corners, no elevator and dated patio and balconies. Breakfast is nice with free parking.

Great location!!
Great location and a large room; breakfast average, but bed really comfortable. Staff very lovely.

This is a fine boutique hotel in Downtown Halifax. One nice thing is that it provides free parking, although it is limited and sometimes involves temporary street parking and having to move to an off-site overflow lot (which happened to us). The building is old and the basement room we were first assigned to had a hint of musty/mildew smell. The management tried to help and switched us to another room without smell (but with a private bathroom located outside our room across the hallway). Our stay was fine otherwise, and the complementary hot breakfast was very nice.
