The building is striking and unique and in a great location. The public areas are spectacular: Helsinki Jugendstil. I loved the gym, which has free weights, kettlebells, a rowing machine, yoga mats, blocks, and belts and meditation cushions. The meals and fika are lavish. If I am ever in Helsinki again, I will stay at Hotel Jugend.

I could not possibly be happier with my stay! The guest rooms were beautiful and cozy. The breakfast was the best that I have ever had at a hotel. Dinner was included as well and it was also very good when we stayed in. A beautiful gym that was perfect. The staff was over the top helpful. It will be the only place I will stay when in Helsinki.

Buffet style and lovely salads and fresh made bread (delightful after lots of lacklustre bread elsewhere in Finland!). The sauna you have to book in advance and is an extra charge. Helpful staff.

The hotel was centrally located to either the train station or an easy walk to the old Market Square. It was very clean and the amenities were perfect. Breakfast was amazing! Had everything you need. An afternoon snack wasn’t expected but it was perfect for a quick pick me up. And they had dinner every night! Loved that option if you didn’t get what Helsinki had to offer. Staff were friendly. I would recommend this for any couple or families. I would stay again!

Wow, what an amazing hotel. I almost want to keep this a secret. Where do I begin? The hotel looks like an old castle. The reception hall is absolutely gorgeous and the details in all areas are beckoning to be discovered. Beautiful artwork along the walls. Very spacious and comfortable rooms with a coffee maker and real pottery mugs. Shower and bathroom very modern. There is A/C. Our room was very quiet. The linens felt luxurious, the beds were comfortable. With dinner and breakfast included, you would think that the food couldn't possibly be good--but it was, in fact, delicious. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, several options for bread, yoghurt with fruit, cheese, cold cuts, a shrimp salad, and other options that I most likely forgot. You can get coffee, tea, juice, and water. All in all, staff were helpful, polite, and very kind. I would come back to Helsinki just so I could stay longer at this hotel.

Loved this hotel!! My husband and i had a wonderful stay at this hotel and in Helsinki. Every member of staff from the moment we arrived to us leaving were so helpful and friendly. Room was spotless with no noise heard from outside or inside. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom excellent, no solid wall between bedroom and bathroom, just glass. Breakfast, fika and dinner was included in the price paid. Worth every penny!!! Personally, as a vegan,i was overjoyed with everything provided as well as staff's care and help. Each evening a vegetarian option, which is actually vegan, was cooked to order. Location was great with everything needed on the doorstep or within very close reach. Everything was great, i wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

This was a very nice hotel to stay at for the week we were in Helsinki. With both breakfast and dinner included every day, it also was a great bargain. The staff were friendly and helpful both at the front desk and in the dining area. The location was excellent and we were able to walk to the harbor, to Downtown and everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again.

Our room was super hot and we could not open a window or turn down the heat. We did change rooms, but still had the some problem. We also had a shower with see-through glass doors into the room which was awkward for friends. Bed mattress was very thin and not super comfortable. Quite small rooms compared to other hotels we stayed in in Helsinki.

Valitsimme Home Hotel Jugend Helsingin ennen kaikkea hotellin ainutlaatuisen historian ja linnamaisen rakennuksen vuoksi. Halusimme kokea jotain tavallisesta hotellimajoituksesta poikkeavaa, ja siinä hotelli onnistui hyvin. Myös sijainti oli erinomainen – keskusta ja Hietalahden tori olivat kävelymatkan päässä. Hyödynsimme hotellin hintaan kuuluvat illalliset, jotka olivat positiivinen yllätys. Tarjonta oli monipuolinen ja maukas, ja voimme lämpimästi suositella niitä muillekin vieraille. Huone oli meille sopivan kokoinen, sillä vietimme siellä vain vähän aikaa. Yön aikana kuului jonkin verran ääniä, jotka vaikuttivat tulevan vanhan rakennuksen rakenteista, mutta ne eivät merkittävästi häirinneet oleskeluamme. Huomasimme kuitenkin huoneen lattialla pölyä sekä muutamia nurkkia, joita ei ollut siivottu aivan huolellisesti. Tämä oli pieni miinus muuten miellyttävässä kokonaisuudessa. Plussaa myös hotellin kuntosalista sekä pienestä jumppahuoneesta, jossa oli Neurosonic-peti. Erityisesti illalla siellä oli mukava rentoutua päivän päätteeksi. Aamupala oli hyvin tasapainoinen: valikoimaa oli riittävästi ilman, että tarjonta olisi ollut liiallisen suuri. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja palvelualtista koko vierailumme ajan.
