Lovely overnight stay, quirkily different place with excellent staff, safe and spacious, excellent restaurant. Highly recommended and look forward to returning when the occasion rises.

This is a one of a kind hotel. I mean, who can say they have stayed in a castle. The rooms are really well done and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The food at the onsite restaurant was really good. Only negative of this hotel is that they don't have either a pool or a gym. Not much to do if you want to spend some time lazing around.

Such a fun place to stay

If you are looking for a different and fun environment to spend some time in, the Excalibur Hotel is the perfect location. With huge attention to detail, you walk back in time to the King Arthur era with fantastic guest rooms that are a delight, especially the King and Queen Suites that have their own outside terrace. The food is of a high standard served either outside if preferred, in the banquetting hall or in one of the private dining rooms which are stunning. Overall, we loved our stay. The staff who looked after us were lovely, the environment very different and special, and the opportunity to have some real fun in a complete package.

My visit to the venue was a very pleasant experience with beautiful décor and peace and quite, almost like being in another world. The staff were very friendly and efficient. A special word of thanks to Promise the receptionist, who was a pleasure to deal with, so friendly and efficient. I definitely will be visiting again in the future.

Service at this place was funny - had to argue every morning whether onion or pepper is part of my omelette or they shall charge me extra 7 rands. Even the manager told me that I have to pay extra. This spoiled my stay a bit.. Rooms decorated nicely- no major problems there. There is no garden to enjoy - it is just a big restaurant/ conference place with some rooms. Would not recommend for a leisure stay.
