"My wife and I stayed in Haus am Stadttor for two nights in August 2025. We absolutely loved the place. It is perfectly located and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for a short or long-term stay. We slept like babies in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the quiet, though the house is located a very short walk to the altstadt. Mathias was also very friendly, welcoming, kind, helpful and flexible. He let us check in early and allowed us a late check-out. All-in-all, a great stay!"

"The hotel was in a gorgeous place with the Rhur on one side and woodland all around the others. The staff could not do enough for us and were fantastic. The breakfast was varied and beautifully presented and the restaurant was fine dining. "

"Nice area found it strange no microwave in kitchen plus noisy below because of supermarket at very early times frying pan and other pans need renewed in kitchen plus first night got smaller room because of mix-up then had to move next day staff working there helpful."
