Grinkle mine abandoned tramway It's hard to believe now, but this is the old tramway trackbed that ran from the mine to the harbour at Port Mulgrave. The line turned sharply to the right further down; it then crossed an embankment built to carry the line across the Easington Beck. The Ridge lane tram tunnel is situated just the other side of the embankment. "I LOVED this hotel. I’m a world touring cyclist and I love quiet and remote. This hotel was FANTASTIC. Idyllic setting high above the bay. Beautiful grounds. Lovely gardens. Stunning. The hotel just had a makeover and it looks beautiful! My room overlooked the sea—clean and comfortable and a great bathtub! Breakfast was plentiful and high quality. A dreamy stop as I pedal the UK. Many, many thanks! "
