10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful location, very nice hiking trail to glacier next to hotel.

I would recommend this hotel. Great location and comfortable.
Carol B, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel is kinda pricey for a simple hotel room. You're definitely paying for the location which is very convenient. To make it worth it, do the hike behind the hotel and stuff yourself at breakfast:)
Will, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Close to main attraction, even has their own trail to glacier, only 20 min walking
Richard, 1-night trip

The restaurant and breakfast were excellent! The receptionist was super helpful in recommending local attractions. The trail to the glaciers right from their property is magical! A real gem!!

great location perhaps to view northern lights. however in summer this is a bit overpriced middle of no-where place with really crampy rooms.

Overpriced Hotel close to Skaftafell glacier

Most expensive Hotel stay on our Iceland trip yet the room was like a cheap US motel, very basic, small and furnished cheaply. Breakfast buffet was disappointing. Hotel is in gretaa area though with a hike to the glacier at the back of the property.

Good accomodation for the trip along the south coast!
Maximilian, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location for glacier hikes and tours. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and they by far had the worst breakfast of all the places we stayed. The staff was incredible though. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the hikes and the area.
Mark, 2-night trip

Nice hotel, includes a restaurant (complimentary brrakfast). A bit weathered, small shower, comfy beds, friendly staff who will wake you if auroras happening at night.

Restaurant was great. Gas station across the street was convenient.

Mehtab, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We loved our stay at this hotel. Although the rooms aren’t fancy, they were clean and comfortable for the night. What made this hotel great was the staff, cute bar upstairs with happy hour and a nice view of the mountains, the delicious dinner and free breakfast and the proximity to a walking path to see the glacier and easy access to Skaftafell fans the hike to Svartifoss.
Kerri, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

There are wonderful hiking trails right out the back door. You can hike to 2 glaciers. The food in the restaurant was excellent, but very pricey.
Meredith, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great location. Pleasant rooms. Good breakfast. Prices are, however, inflated for what the hotel is due solely to its proximity to the Glaciar.
Paulo, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The location is unparalleled-vistas looking out at mountains and glaciers. We took an evening walk to the glacier, on a path just behind our room. The rooms were clean, if a bit tight. The second bed next to the window had no space around it for a suitcase or personal belongings or space to change. Although they were new rooms they did not have electrical access for charging phones near the beds. A fairly “awkward room” but the location made up for any inconveniences.
View from behind our hotel room - no kidding!
Lupines everywhere!

Nice restaurant

Very friendly and helpful staff. Dining room offers wonderful dinner. We stayed 12 nights total in iceland; each at different hotel; few offered full meals for dinner. Rooms are small but beds were comfortable.
