10/10 Exceptional

This hotel chain is absolutely amazing! There was a group of us traveling on a cruise ship and staying over for a few extra days. We accidentally booked the property outside of the city, about an hour away. They were so accommodating and moved all three rooms to the property we wanted in the actual city. We checked in super early because we were coming off of a cruise ship, and they took all 10 of our bags and found places for them. They had adapters for our hair utensils and just went above and beyond for us. The hotel is conveniently located to everything and we were able to walk to shops and restaurants and the bus stop is conveniently located around the corner for any tours you may be taking. Highly recommend!

Very clean, calming, and well-maintained rooms and grounds. We ate the breakfast at 5 different hotels and this one was my favorite, with the most hot and cold options, fresh-baked goods, eggs and bacon and sausage, etc. The restaurant was also excellent for dinner, and had good options for meat, seafood, and kids menu. There's a mini-fridge with freezer in the room if you want to keep a few groceries on hand, and there's a nice casual pizza restaurant and mini-market with milk and snacks, 7 minutes away in the car.

8/10 Very good

Very lovely hotel with great location. It is set up with little buildings spread around the main building which houses the reception and the main dining area. Don't unload your luggage when you check in, as you can park outside you designated building.

10/10 Exceptional

Delightful place with a superb breakfast, and quiet rooms. If you've just stepped off a long flight, the hot tubs are a g-d-send. They provide robes and slippers, and soaking in the water with the cold air swirling, as the evening (seemingly endless) light fades...well, it's magic. Or, damn close. Thank you, Hotel Grimsborgir:)

10/10 Exceptional

We loved this hotel. The decor, rooms, etc seemed quite new. The room was big enough and the shower had a tub which we haven’t had yet in Iceland. Each building has two hot tubs for using at night. That was a nice touch. The breakfast was included and had all the things. Delicious!! I had the Char at dinner both nights. It was beyond amazing. Highly recommend this hotel!!
