The reception area of this hotel is fantastic with the staircase the main feature . The rooms are large and spacious but they are tired and in need of some TLC. The rooms are clean with tea and coffee facilities. The downstairs of this hotel is its selling point with a lovely lounge bar. Breakfast was good but overpriced at £22 for a cooked breakfast much better options in the town. The location of this hotel is fantastic

The hotel is situated in an excellent location. Right on top of the train station and a couple of minutes to the bus station. Right on top of shops and restaurants. The reception ladies were lovely. Super helpful in providing information about bus times and trips. Calling taxis for us. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. This was our second stay and it won’t be our last. A truly lovely hotel,

My room was clean and the shower was excellent. Its an old building needs a bit of tlc. Squeaky floor boards make for a lot of disturbance. I was woken up at 4am by a disturbance, sounded like an intruder. Lots of shouting and running about. Maybe tighter security at night?

The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station. The lobby is grand but the rooms are showing their age. The included continental breakfast is limited, but a cooked breakfast is available for an extra cost. Better dining options are within walking distance. The hotel is worth a stay if the price is reasonable. Shopping around could yield better accommodation options.

It's a quirky place. The grand staircase is stunning photographically, but the reality is a bit more subdued. Rooms are fine and the staff are very helpful. I would avoid Rm. 120 if possible; it backs up right under the station train shed and smelled of diesel smoke such that we needed to be reassigned. Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay and if you like an antique experience (real room keys!) you'll love this place.

Convenient to city center and attached to the train station. Well maintained historic building with well appointed rooms. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. Parking was a downside as property has 7 or so spaces and if they’re full your only option is to park in the multi-storey garage for a fee.

This hotel was conveniently located near the center of town and everything you may wish to see in Inverness is just a few minute walk. There is minimal parking at the hotel, but the multi level city park is an easy 6 minute walk, even with roller bags. We would recommend staying there and if we come back, it will be our location of choice.

Great location close to bus station. Luggage storage prior to check-in and post check-out was a breeze. Old hotel with some quirks and lots of character.

The property was okay. It is an old building but the rooms were clean and the bathrooms were recently remodeled. Parking was difficult. The food we ordered in the restaurant was not good at all. I felt safe enough but don’t know that I would stay there again.

We could stay in a huge twin room with kings bed each of us, which was bonus. The room was pleasant and we had a comfirtable stay, thank you. The location was just next to the station which was also very convenient.

This is a beautiful old (historic) hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Although the building is old, it is well maintained. Very classic. They had an art exhibit in the lobby - really wonderful. I loved it! I would come back.

Clean large room. A bit basic with dated decor but perfect location next to train station in the heart of town.

Absolutely lovely hotel to stay in in Inverness. The staircase is really beautiful and the room we stayed in was a good size and really clean. Breakfast in the morning was a continental which had plenty to chose from and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Most the the staff on reception were really helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help you if they could. Very convenient for the train and bus station and walking into the city centre itself. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is old which is the great charm with it. The old look and charm makes the stay something to remember. The location is perfect as it is in the centre of Inverness.
