We were pleasantly surprised by our reception at the hotel and the clean comfortable room provided. All we needed for our nostalgic visit to Inverness. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and not cluttered by too many options…perfect for us. Fresh coffee, self served, perfect for a “coffee snob”. Always pleasant, witty attention from Iain. Situation in Church St. also ideal for great pubs and restaurants. All in all a perfect short visit to one of my favourite cities…where I first began schooling..a long time ago!

I had to leave very early so missed breakfast but very nice lady gave me fruit and cake for journey. The cleanliness was to a high standard. The hospitality was true "Highland". And the McDougall Clansman Hotel shows that it can still be found.

This hotel is handy for the train station and day trips that leave from the Cathedral (10 mins walk). The breakfast was a standard English, shame it didn't have scottish bits. The room was comfortable, slept well. Little things like a box of tissues, bottle water and herbal tea would have been great. It was handy that Wetherspoons is opposite. Also close was a brilliant fish and chip shop which I would 100% recommend.

I had a wonderful stay recently at MacDougall Clansman Hotel. Iain and staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The hotel and rooms were immaculate and had all the necessary amenities. There was a heatwave happening and they were able to provide a room fan to help keep me comfortable. The location was central to all the main sights and was extremely walkable which was super convenient. The inclusion of fresh breakfast in the morning was a standout feature and fuelled me for the day of sightseeing. I cannot recommend MacDougall Clansman Hotel enough for anyone planning a trip to Inverness.

The previous reviews for this hotel were not wrong! What a lovely homely place just a 6/7 minute walk from the railway station. It’s like an old fashioned quality B&B used to be. That’s not a slight on the place, but a compliment. Good old fashion standards and a world apart from Travelodge and Premier Inn. The room was big enough with a lovely double bed and loads of pillows. A smallish TV, but it worked. Loads of storage and tea/coffee facilities with a Scottish biscuit. Shower room on the small side, but adequate with a good shower and hot water. Loads of towels too. Breakfast was a winner. Quality ingredients for the Scottish breakfast. Cereals, yogurt, juice. Lovely. A lovely touch from housekeeping was I purchased a bottle of wine and used a cup to drink some of it. The next day a wine glass appeared next to the bottle! Really thoughtful and didn’t go unnoticed. Owners/staff are really pleasant. I picked a good hotel in Inverness and you should too!!!
