6/10 Good

It's very ramshackle, but for the price it's perfectly acceptable as a place to get your head down for the night. What's more I thought the owner was a very friendly chap, which went a long way towards making up for the hotel's many shortcomings. Also the food was very good. If you're staying for just a night or two max, it's fine. I'd stay there again

Owner was incredibly rude. Bar stank of smoke. Parking lot was filled with drunk locals impersonating Canadians

Basil Fawlty lives!
I think most people will regard this as a “Marmite” hotel. It was cheap and rather faded, but the room was warm and sheets and towels clean. My only concern was the loo which was down the corridor and nowhere near large enough to swing the proverbial cat! My wife felt that there should have been a cover on the duvet. The food was absolutely wonderful, with the chef (owner’s brother) greeting us with a verbal presentation of what he had available on the day - no menu here, which was a pleasant change! The car park was totally secure. I guess you could call this a “French Fawlty Towers”. We will definitely stay here again, for sure!
