We had a very short but lovely stay. The room was really pretty and very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the whole place had a beautiful colonial vibe. Oscar was extremely kind and helpful, giving us all the information we needed about getting around, arranging a taxi to the city centre, and making sure we safely got to the airport with the same driver for our very early 5 a.m. flight. We truly appreciated the care and attention.

I was food for the terrible mosquitoes every day and night. This hotel has clutter everywhere. I have stayed at this location several times before with the previous owner and never had a problem with mosquitoes eating me for meals. Top Linen was changed once in the 6 days I was there. The bed linen had holes in it and a few very small stains which I did ask for cleaning several times to see if they would change the bottom linen to no avail. They do have filter water and offer bottle water everyday which was very nice. The new owner is bilingual but only showed up own my arrival so it was challenging to ask for additional services for breakfast. Nor, did they return to ask you if you need or want any things additionally. Breakfast was included in your stay which was limited but nice. However, if you want more you have to call someone over to get additional service because everyone is on their phones or tablets. You are totally safe there because you are locked in with a gate and someone has to come let you in and out that security was nice also. The very small pool was very clean but nothing else. Basically, this little boutique needs to do some spraying for mosquitoes no one likes to be food while they are on vacation. And the owner needs to de-clutter the hotel so that you can see the Colonial beauty AND possibly give the staff training on customer service. Unbelievable

This is a cute and just off the main thoroughfare in this busy area. One of the main shopping areas is not more than 300 meters away but you’d never know it. There is some parking in front of the hotel and at night across the street. The staff are very friendly and the beds are very comfortable.

Air conditioning was a 10/10, breakfast I can’t not tell anything about it since I’m a person who does fasting at morning, so I didn’t have the chance to try it. The location it’s one of the best ones in town, and trust me I have stay in lot of locations near Managua, any other location was a good as this one, the personal was amazing, very nice, very friendly. The only complain I have it’s for my room, I stayed in the room no.8, that’s it’s supposed to have a kitchen, because I like to cook my own stuff once I finish my fasting, I did have a room for a kitchen, but it didn’t have not even a kitchen, I can tell it was very disappointing to not even find a microwave. After all, I enjoyed my stay, the bed it’s like sleeping in the clouds!

Amazing!

Stayed here with my wife for two night. The service was out of this world. The location is great with some good restaurants in walking distance. It was extremely safe as they kept the front gate locked. The hotel was beautiful, including the lobby, rooms, pool area, and patio. There was secured overnight parking. Everyone was extremely friendly and went out of their way to serve us in any way possible. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Love the building cleanliness, showers could use a good scrubbing. Loved Small patio with small pool. It does get windy and nature ends up in the pool, they try their best to keep twigs and 🍃 out. Still clean and maintained patio/ pool area. Beds are comfortable and with the heat the fans and AC make the rooms comfortably.

Place was nice, beds were the comfiest in Nicaragua. Stayed at multiple hotels and the beds were by far the most comfy. The showers were the least favorite, they need better shower heads and cleaner showers, they need to be scrubbed regularly. Staff was friendly and helpful. They were there when you needed them. Pool was a plus, it is cleaned daily. Due to the flora it does get debris which is inevitable. I would definitely stay again.

Good value in Managua

Overall experience is good. Parking is in a lot outside the hotel property. The only issue was the temper of the hot water in the shower which is not adjustable. Had to ask the receptionist to both turn it on and reduce the temperature. Overall it is a good choice for Managua. The location is also a positive. The breakfast was simple but good.

Charming and Historic Place to Experience Managua

Hotel Casa Colonial is a good boutique hotel in the central section of Managua. If you’re spending some time there and need a centrally located place from which to go on a daylong tour of the city and up to Masaya Volcano or Laguna de Apoyo, it’s really good. The decor is very interesting and they serve a traditional Nicaraguan breakfast each morning. The only drawback I would say is the language barrier was a little difficult to navigate as an American. I asked to have my towels changed and the concierge staffer didn’t really understand what I meant. That miscommunication aside, it’s very charming and more than amenable for a stay in the Capital City

Friendliness of staff, willingness to help guide you around the area. Centrally located, many restaurants near by. Near clubs and other restaurants a couple blocks away. Easy access from and to main road. Market and shopping malls near by. Place was cleaned daily, pool due to the flora will get debris but over pool is clean and its daily maintained by their pool guy. The rooms were ample and beds were comfortable, most comfortable beds in nicaragua. The staff Oscar and everyone else went above and beyond. The have night watch all night, gate is always locked. The place alone make you feel safe. Car is locked in their private parking once you are ready to lock it for the night. Will definitely come back and stay, hot breakfast was provided daily. Only thing I will Mention is the Shower needs to get a Deeper Cleaning. Dont miss out, this is a comfortable place to stay. Thank you Hotel colonial

The staff at the hotel [Oscar, Arturo, Vladimir and the women whose name unfortunately I do not know] were amazing. They were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time I was there. I highly recommend. The parking on site is also very secure, you park your car overnight behind a closed gate. Breakfast is also always made fresh and delicious.
