The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. All of the staff we encountered spoke very good English, which made check in a breeze. The room was a lovely tatami style room with a terrace, and the bathroom was very well appointed. The bed was not very comfortable, however, and was way too hard to get a good night's sleep. We stayed in the only room on the bottom floor, which unfortunately meant we could hear everything going on in the lobby in the mornings (breakfast and check ins), and could constantly hear slamming doors from upstairs.Overall the stay was pleasant, but if we stayed again we would probably request a room on the upper floors.

Exceptional 10.0
Excellent condition modern hotel
This place is amazing and worth the price. The condition of the hotel is superb. Every thing in the room felt brand new and I'm sure its because its a fairly new hotel. The room we had had its own private little zen garden you can look out into and the tatami mats give it a modern ryokan feel. The toilets are crazy awesome. There is a sensor when you walk into the bathroom and lid pops up automatically and there are buttons for everything imaginable (Japanese toilets take some getting use to but are THE BEST). The amenties were nice and the staff was great and spoke English very well. There was a free sake tasting at the hotel while we were there and it was fun, educational, and heavy handed. Would absolutely stay here again. You won't regret it!

Good 6.0
Boutique hotel Japanese style
Since it opened in October 2017, very clean. The staff speak English very well and friendly. The bathroom is tiny but it has everything you need. The bed on the tatami mat was low. Our room was facing the street and it was noisy all nigh because of the convenient store across the street. The breakfast should be improved. The location is great and we walked everywhere.
