The hotel is not even close to what it looks like in the photos you arrive and the front door has a big closed noted in it. Then once you dogged out that you have to enter from a side door in a market are you find the front desk. The staff was ok startingt to the point ask for 500 bat cash for the deposit. The rooms was very small old and all the walls was dirty not even close to the photos on bookings website. If you want to party then it’s great bang in the correct area.

Good 6.0
We stayed during Songkran. when you book here. The room is just too small and lack of power outlets. It wasn't even clean and all the facilities were old but I'm not that sensitive at these kinds of matters so these were okay. The reason why I'm writing this review is the staff. I know it's also my fault but I was drying my clothes on the balcony(rather just a fence at a window) every night since there were so many wet clothes(you know, songkran) and AC wasn't so powerful. One night my training shorts were dropped to the floor and staffs found them for me. They were helpful enough. But the next day, I realized that one of my clothes fell on the ground again. It was a very cute new shirt, which I wore only once. This time I could even see that it's on the ground so I went to the reception and asked where I should go to pick it up. They said the gate to the backyard is closed cause it's late so I should come back the next morning. They somewhat seemed to be even bothered when I asked for help but I was like whatever. The next morning, staffs were even more unfriendly and they didn't show any efforts to help me. They didn't even pretend to help. They just kept saying if it's not there, they can't find it. And when I went to the backyard, my cute shirt was gone. They weren't even bothered to call housekeepers to ask if they've found any clothes in that morning. That was so frustrating and I was very unhappy with their service.

Frat boy central
You'll read a lot of reviews of the area claiming it's a backpackers paradise. Let me translate this into plain English for you: it's an area full of frat boys and sorority girls getting wasted, puking and passing out on the streets. If you're into that you'll love khao san road. Overall it's dirty, cheap, and full of people waiting to scam and take advantage of stupid tourists. This is not Bangkok. It's khao san road. The rest of Bangkok is amazing. Now for the hotel review… I'm not gonna sugar coat this for you.. it's a cheap hotel for a reason. Dont be fooled by the photos. It's nothing like that. The place is dirty and missing lots of essential things.. My room was really small and didn't have a closet or any drawers or barely any surface to put my things. The shower stall also had no place to put shampoos and soap so it all stays on the floor. The TV has a few western channels but the reception is bad and the sound didn't work. There was no view of anything.. a wall less than 10 feet away. They do provide free breakfast with some rooms.. For 3 days the variety never changed. Hot dogs and eggs every day and you have to fight the hoards of shirtless frat boys hungover from the night before eating from the serving table with their bare hands. The pool area is absolutely dirty. Cigarette butts on the floor between the wood planks everywhere. Also the ashtray on the 3rd floor was never cleaned (4 days) Staff doesn't speak good English not very friendly. Don't stay here!

Poor 2.0
Property was in a great location but the hotel room itself was very bad. There was a horrible smell off the room. Staff weren’t very friendly. They accused us of taking the kettle even though there was no kettle when we arrived. Would not recommend this hotel. Much better hotels around Bangkok for the price

At the heart of khaosan street
Stayed in the deluxe king room. Quick and smooth check in. The room was rather small as I've expected it to be slightly bigger but overall it is ok. The room looks very new and well maintained, toiletries and hairdryer provided hence it's a big plus. The rooftop pool is nice and has a view overlooking the town which is nice as well unfortunately we are unable to enjoy as it always raining in the evening. But for people with light sleep think it's better for you to look for somewhere else as there are renovation going on during day times, and you might struggle a bit by the noice from the street during night times. Personally I find it bearable and slept through the nights with no problem. Unable to comment on the breakfast as we've missed them for waking up late. The wifi connection gets disconnected sometimes after locking the screen so have to keep retyping the user and passcode even after checked the 'remember me' box.
