The hotel lends beach chairs and towels, a nice amenity, and the roof bar is great. Not quite a luxury hotel, but a good choice in Sarasota if the budget allows.

The hotel is a happening place with both lobby and poolside entertainment. It's located downtown near all the best restaraunts. The valet parking is also convenient. My only "complaint", which the hotel is aware of, is that the bed headrests are showing serious wear and tear, so much so that there is a sign on them saying, while clean, they know they should be replaced. Hopefully, that sign won't be there a year from now.
