Dreamy stay at Chala Number 6
Chiang Mai is the best part of Thailand, and Chala Number 6 was heaven. Everything about this hotel was lovely... the staff, accommodations, the food, and location were all amazing. The hotel grounds are small but magical. I can’t praise this property enough.

    Not exactly five stars
The hotel had a life-size doll at the lobby. When we first arrived at night, it was really creepy. We asked for extra bottles of water and was told to buy water ourselves at 7-11. There were too many decoration in the room taking precious space for our stuff. They put a melon-scent diffuser in our room. I am just not a fan of the smell. The food at the restaurant was not very good. We ordered fried rice and the dish was cold. Most thai food we had elsewhere during our trip was much better. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a very good area. Easy access and temples are just a walk away. Restaurant are abundant nearby. Staff are courteous and accommodating. The only thing that makes it not perfect but we went there for a birthday trip and despite that it was stated during reservation, and was verbally stated upon registration, not even a welcome greetings from everyone.

A Boutique Gem in Chiang Mai
This is an amazing boutique hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful accommodations. It’s a beautiful property with some great restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Loved it!

Serene, well appointed and great location!
From the moment we entered the lobby the serene environment and warm welcome was overwhelming. The front desk is not your typically lobby front desk. You sit down and are treated with care and respect like a friend. The grounds are very well manicured, afternoon tea is a delight and the room is well appointed. Just outside the hotel is the most important temple square in the city and fabulous restaurant choices are all within walking distance.

Peaceful in the heart of the tourist area
We loved the location - right inside the old town square. The staff were so welcoming and helpful whenever we needed anything. The room was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was great. We thought the grounds were beautiful and enjoyed the pool.

    Great hotel
We really enjoyed our stay at Chala Number 6. The hotel staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had very modern amenities. Location couldn’t have been any better being right in the center of the old city. I highly recommend this hotel.

    Gorgeous property, but too loud
The property and room were gorgeous. The staff member who checked us in was a bit cold towards us, which gave a very bad first impression, but other staff interactions were more friendly. Delicious breakfast. Our room was adjacent to a school, so we were awakened with very loud music and intercom announcements very early in the morning. We changed hotels for this reason.
