Wonderful hotel and the staff are exceptional. Large room, great options on menu. If you need washing done this is the place. Same day turn around and it comes back smelling amazing. Can’t say enough how wonderful, friendly and helpful the staff are. This is a mist staff hotel.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The staff were wonderful. Rooms spacious and clean. Pool was great and food was lovely. Close to the safari and elephant sanctuary. We stayed with a group of friends and two young toddlers and had a wonderful time. Had all our washing cleaned, treats left in our rooms and balloons for the kids. Just a wonderful and relaxing time. You should really book your this resort.

Staff always have a smile and will get you anything you need. Nice and clean room and communal areas, good variety of food. Great location if you are visiting for the Safari, only ten minutes up the road. The transition centre, where you can see the young elephants being fed, is even closer.

Had a great stay... only down side being we were only there for 2 nights Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff. Rooms great and well appointed.Great setting and relaxing after or before safari. Only bit of advice is dont go too late for breakfast or buffet evening meal, as its all been hoovered up. Would recommend and if we find ourself in same area again, will re book.

We loved our stay here! The staff were all great, the campus was clean and well taken care of, and our room was very nice. The restaurant breakfast and dinner buffets had a nice variety of food options as well. Watch out for monkeys in the morning - one tried to steal our cream and sugar during morning coffee on the balcony.

Property was hugely convenient for the udawalawe game reserve. The staff were very pleasant. And that was about it…. The hotel was dark, our room was unbelievably dark, and the food was disgusting. Our two meals were inedible. We left a day early.

This was, without question, one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've had in a long time. It's obvious that 10–15 years ago this would have been an incredible place to stay. The setting is fantastic, and you can see glimpses of what the hotel once was. Unfortunately, today it feels like a property that has simply been left to decay. It genuinely has an abandoned atmosphere, with tired rooms, neglected facilities and a complete lack of investment. Charging the prices they do for what is on offer is simply unacceptable. I spent some time walking around the grounds and it was honestly quite sad to see. Large parts of the site felt deserted, with facilities that have clearly been left to rot for years. The old children's playground was particularly striking—it looked like something out of Chernobyl, rusting away and completely forgotten. Rather than feeling like a luxury safari resort, it felt like I was wandering around a hotel that had been slowly abandoned. The biggest let-down, however, was the food. On our first evening, my meal arrived cold. We sent it back expecting it to be reheated properly, only for the chicken to return raw in the middle. That is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the standards in the kitchen. After that experience, we had absolutely no confidence in eating there again and chose to eat outside the hotel for the remainder of our stay. The food quality was poor, and serving a meal cold before then returning it undercooked i

The rooms where big and nice. The bathrooms where very small and the bathtub got stains. Poolarea was clean but it would have been nice with a deck to walk on instead of old grass and dirt. Diningarea was not cozy at all. Good for a short stay when you go on safaris etc.

Vi blev tildelt et andet værelse end det vi havde booket. Det var fugtigt (synligt på væggen og lugtede også), mørkt og beskidt. Det virkede til at værelserne i den nye del af resortet var i bedre stand! Der blev ikke gjort noget ved vores klage ift værelsesskift. Personalet var generelt venlige, men selve værelserne og faciliteterne trænger til en kærlig hånd.
