Private Paradise
Desiterra is like a private paradise in busy Santorini. You definitely need a car to move around the island as it’s remote from anything else but also that’s what makes it so special. Once you are in the hotel areas you feel a sense of calm, serenity and relaxation that is the best way to start and finish a busy tourism day. The villas are unreal, all the small details make the stay very comfortable and you feel like you have your own home in Santorini and what a home! The staff make the stay even better with their professionalism in making every guest feel special. Everyone is extremely helpful, friendly and the best in what their do what makes a difference. Average to poor service but good facilities.
The villa was a great size and had good facilities including a pool. However, there was an ant infestation which was still there after the room had been cleaned, communication didn’t feel that easy with staff as they were not very helpful and the restaurant was disappointing - for example we asked for chips and were told they do not get served for dinner however, the same waiter brought out chips to another person in front of us twice for dinner. The food was average if that at best.
