Lovely hotel conveniently located

Lovely hotel about 5mins to a shopping centre and just a bit further to the main shopping area which has the train station at the end of the street. The double room we had was very clean which was serviced every day and the bathroom had a hairdryer. There was also slippers and bathrobe. There is a kettle and bottled water in the room but there was only 2 tea bags (Herbal & Green Teas) and sugar. If you want other types of tea and Coffee and/or milk, I would advise you take your own. There is a fridge filled with all sorts which you have to pay for but it would be ok to keep your milk in. Breakfast has plenty of choice both hot and cold and there is a hot drinks machine to serve yourself. I would certainly stay there again if I were to visit Zilina.

2/10 Poor

The room given to me was very dirty, the carpet in the room was heavily stained and was probably never cleaned , did not want to take my shoes off.The bed sheet on single bed was stained and had hair on , the bed spread had staines all over it , the curtains had staines all over and were ripped. The towel left in the bathroom had stains on it !!! First impressions were awful and got me thinking how this hotel could be 4 star hotel??? The breakfast choice was poor , the bakery items on offer were stale. No choice off water on offer for breakfast-tap water I was told is the only choice of water .The reception staff was not helpful ,when I complained to the receptionist she told me she can give me clean bed sheets so I can change my bedding but unfortunately there was nobody who can do it for me ?? She also told me I have to sleep in that room as the hotel is full and there is not another room! Had to wait until the hotel manager arrives next day to complain !!

We really liked our stay at Dubná Skala. The location is perfect with a walking distance to the Main Square with all the restaurants and to 3 big malls. We liked the whole atmosphere and how nicely renovated it was. I also had one of the best massages in the spa. Remember to ask for Babroka.
