We stayed at Hotel Verde Azul for seven nights and greatly enjoyed its laid-back atmosphere. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well, the bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water, the breakfast hours were good (6:30-9:00), the hammocks by the pool were perfect for chilling in the shade during the hot afternoons, the walk down to the waterfront was an easy one, and, best of all the staff were very kind and helpful.

We had an awesome time and everyone was so nice and helpful. The one thing I wish there was, was a tall mirror I could see my whole body/outfit in.

Location good, in residential area but close to centre.
Changed our room at our request which we appreciated. Small swimming pool. Lovely hammocks by the pool. Staff spoke very little English so difficult to speak to them (we didn’t speak Spanish either!). I’m a vegetarian and don’t eat eggs, used google translate to say this but still given eggs. Breakfast very basic, roll, fruit and scrambled eggs. Coffee and fruit juice (watered down).
Place is clean and cheap, just a little better than a hostel but you get what you pay for.

The staff were very friendly. The pool and hammocks were an added bonus, it was so nice to spend an afternoon or evening relaxing by the pool.

Excellent value for money. Staff were always friendly & ready to help. Rooms were spacious with en suites & tv. & I enjoyed relaxing by the pool at the end of each day & dipping in to cool off. It’s not the most luxurious hotel in the world & breakfast is basic, but what would you expect for £209 for 6 nights over new year. If you want 5* star facilities & treatment go & pay £200 per night at one of the more luxurious hotels nearby, I struggle to believe some of the negative reviews I read here before I stayed. It is probably the best value hotel I’ve ever stayed in! The location is quiet & peaceful but an easy 5 min walk from the town centre & seafront.

Our stay in the Galápagos was excellent. We were not inside very long, and didn’t expect luxury. Accommodations were adequate and breakfast was very good.

There was a hammock in the room - we loved it. Overall a great stay. The staff was friendly and the space was comfortable. It was difficult to get a taxi to the pier in the morning and the walk isn’t too far (15-20 min) but we had heavy bags so it was inconvenient. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.

Everything was great! Hot water was endless! The bathroom lock was a bit wonky but everything else was perfect. If you have any billing issues, call them directly. The people working the front desk speak enough English to help. We paid in cash when we arrived and everything was fine.

Staff is very friendly and very helpful. The hotel was about a 10 min walk to the Charles Darwin research center security checkpoint and stores/dining options. The hotel appeared to be understaffed. No one at the lobby in the morning so we had to leave your room key with the kitchen lady at checkout. Open building concept with lots of natural light and fresh air. Breakfast was great with fresh cut fruit, bread, butter and jam, scrambled eggs and a cheese empanada.
