Was gonna do 4 stars, but since I've been traveling to China for business the last 15 years this JW is actually excellent. The building's architecture and interiors are nice and something that always indicates attention to detail for me is daily fresh flowers everywhere. The gym is fairly equipped, and the staff are gracious and do their best to accommodate your needs. Subway is close by and the breakfast buffet is pretty good but leans to local tastes, which I like, more than Western dishes. Didn't try the Grill or Man Ho.

Loved my view. It was really beautiful. Staff were really nice, except for the check in desk. A bit rude at times. Concierge and cleaning crew were awesome, very nice people. The last night i had to call 20 times to try to get ice from room. I had to go by the elevators before they even picked up. If you are an American or foreigner especially a woman, the Chinese come first. Upon exchanging money, i was interrupted everytime someone wanted something from the hotel desk. Customer Service wasn't really the strong key here with the exception of the Concierge and cleaning staff..

Front Manager Kevin Liu provided excellent overall service, and I was very satisfied with my stay. In addition, a concierge staff member named James on the first floor was extremely proactive and helpful in assisting me with finding my package. It was a truly enjoyable trip.

A rude experience at Marriott Zhengzhou

The fireworks light up the place nightly as it is the Chinese New Year period. Breakfast was rather simple and not that lavish compared to other 5 stars hotel. Check out was rather messy even though there were less than 5 people but the Chinese just jumped the queue without a blink and the counter staff don't bothered at all. Managed to pass my key cards to a lady relationship staff Ms Ming and informed her about the non culture action.

Hotels.com에서 예약한 금액 하루 1,000위안과 달리, 체크인 시에 하루 2,000위안으로 디파짓이라고 결제를 해야한다하고 체크아웃시 잔액을 돌려준다고 했는데 그게 처리가 안되고 있습니다. 출장이라서 회사비용처리해야하는데 매우 곤란한 상황이네요 I made reservation at less than 1,000 yuan per day thru hotel.com, but the hotel charged me 2,000 yuan per day when checking in, saying they would refund the rest when checking out. The refund is not happening right away, and the hotel has no emails that i can contact in English (i cant speak Chinese at all, so cannot talk with them over the phone). The hotels.com reservation number is 72058305084103, could you please check the current status with the hotel?

My stay at JW Marriott Hotel Zhengzhou was mixed. There were some genuinely positive aspects, especially the front desk staff and housekeeping team, but there were also several disappointing experiences that affected my overall impression. The first negative impression happened on our arrival day. We had two very large pieces of luggage, and the first thing I remember is that the doorman saw us and seemed to run back into the building instead of helping us. At first, I thought maybe they were not actually hotel staff. But after staying for multiple days, it seemed clear that they were hotel workers. I am still not sure why they reacted that way. Maybe it was because our luggage was oversized, or because we arrived in a dirty cargo vehicle instead of a luxury sedan. A similar situation happened again on another day. My friend and I were in Zhengzhou for some cycling activities, and one day we rode more than 100 km. After such a long ride, we were extremely exhausted. Because it was difficult to find a vehicle that could fit two bicycles, we had to call another cargo van to bring us back to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel entrance, the doorman approached the driver and tried to direct us to the basement for unloading. It did not feel welcoming at all. Since it was already nighttime and we were completely worn out, we really just wanted to get out of the vehicle at the front door and return to our room. Camere non insonorizzate.. Addirittura il fumo da sigaretta della stanza accanto arrivava nella mia tanto da dover cambiare stanza a mezzanotte perché l aria era irrespirabile e il personale non ha fatto nulla per far smettere i vicini, nonostante la struttura sia classificata come Smoking Free!!!
