The hotel is in a good location near restaurants if you don't want to eat at the hotel. It is very well maintained throughout, has a lovely swimming pool and pool area and a well equipped gym. The view from our balcony over Jogyakarta was great. The room had a small balcony, mattress was comfortable and it was in general very clean. Breakfast had a fantastic variety with savoury dishes, an Indonesian corner, an egg corner where you can order omelette or whatever egg dish you'd like to have and plenty of other continental food. You won't leave hungry. If we were returning to Jogyakarta at any time, we'd stay here again.

This hotel is in a very strategic location where a lot of expats hang out in the restaurants nearby it is fairly soundproof so the mosque noise doesn't really bother you if you're a decent sleeper unless you're sitting outside on your balcony which is kind of nice it's very pretty it's not perfect by any means of course no hotel is the bed was okay the room service was really good really cheap and again strategic location I would give it a 7.5 out of 10

Great Value Hotel in Good Location

Great value hotel located close to shops and restaurants and a short taxi ride from the Sultan’s Palace, Water Castle etc. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and food in general all very good. We did a tour to Borobudur and Prambanan Temples through the hotel and our driver, Mudi, was excellent. Very safe and always had cold water waiting for us after each visit.

The room was a good size with a balcony. It was clean and had everythng we needed. Bed was comfy and bathroom good size. Breakfast was nice with a good range of food. The gym had a good enough range of equipment. The staff were very friendly. The location was good. Its about a 25 minute walk to Malioboro Street, and the next street along from the hotel had a great reange of dining options.

A beautiful hotel in Yogyakarta, really exceptional for the price. The rooms are large and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is also really nice, and can become quite busy later in the afternoon, when everyone has finished their sightseeing for the day. We loved all the Indonesian choices for breakfast, but there is western food too. The lunch and dinner menu is also varied and delicious, and the portions are huge. Prawirotaman is a great little area with lots of cafes and restaurants, although you’ll need some type of transport to get to the Malioboro street, where all the evening action is. If we’re ever back in Jogja, we won’t even consider staying anywhere else.

Solid, affordable hotel option in a great location

In a more westernised area of jogja (which may be a welcomed break if you’ve travelled around Java) it’s a robust hotel offering vs more casual home stay options that is really affordable and a clean safe place to sleep. Breakfast spread is varied though the room gets quite hot and tends to be packed. I was sad to see the rooftop area not really be utilised despite the gallery of artwork. The rooftop bar was out of action and it was sweltering in the heat. There’s a small basic gym but does have AC which isn’t always the case. The rooms are basic and clean, and no bugs (at least for me) which was a luxury as the geckos and mosquitoes are everywhere.

Spacious room with a balcony. Functional bathroom and wardrobe. Cons are that the shower head had such poor water pressure that we always had to use the rain shower. The fridge was also not cold at all. The aircon also had some issue where it felt so warm even when we adjusted the temperature lower; some mornings we woke up sweating! Also, the TV was tiny and had limited channels. The best part of the hotel was the location - just a short walk away from the street with the popular eateries and cafes. Hotel buffet breakfast was alright, but I would have preferred to save money by eating breakfast at the eateries around instead.

On the site it was stated the room either coma with double beds or a queen bed, I could choose the preferred option during the booking process, so I chose the Queen bed option for us as a couple. Upon check-in we were told, only the double bed option was available, but they offered us an option to pay for upgrade for an extra fee / night for 2 nights. They didn't offer any other option. In the US or Europe they'd offer an upgrade for FREE of charge, since this bed option was their fault. Not a good attitude towards guests. Also there was a table with no smoking sign at the pool area where we sat, I hate smokers and appreciated it until 2 meters away other guest started smoking in their sunbeds, and all the smoke come to us. I asked the staff if it was allowed, they said said yes, smoking was allowed in the sunchairs. 2 meters from the non-smoking table!!! So what's the point of that non-smoking sign??? They should make the whole pool area NON SMOKING!! Otherwise it was a pleasant stay, very nice breakfast.
