The hotel is really quaint and in a wonderful are of the city. Restaurants and shopping are very walkable. Rodney and Alison were very helpful with instructions and recommendations . Only downside is no elevator and having to carry your luggage up and down flights of stairs, although Rodney did carry ours up.

Lovely unesco approved property right beside Chateau Frontenac, fronting a garden (jardin) square park. Our small (expected) 3rd floor room had a beautiful view of the park and I even saw the lovely sunrise from our attic windows. There is no elevators so be prepared to trek up 39 stairs to 3rd floor (doable since every 3-5 steps turn at a landing), by the end we were feeling very fit. Steps away is the terrace of Fronteac and boardwalk, so we could easily walk everywhere in Vieux Quebec. Lovely staff were helpful and accommodating.

It is a very old building...so expect that...but it was an affordable great stay...it was quiet and comfortable...i enjoyed the hotels lived history...for a person who enjoys the feeling of being transported back in time looking out a window...its perfect.
