Second time
This was our second stay at Veranda Lodge, the first coming in 2015. The staff is great and the rooms are still in great shape. The beach is wonderful and I had seen reviews about the jetskis being too close....they are a good 100 meters away from the hotel property and there was a flag in the water to indicate the riders where it is safe to return to shore. They seem to be doing something to control mosquitos as we didn't see many after that being our biggest complaint last time. Our only complaint was the amount of insects in the room. I know it's the tropics and it's inevitable to have some but the amount of small ants that were at work in the room was more than I'd expect.
