Beautiful facility, very personable and helpful staff, across the street from buses, ferries and the local beach. Room was very comfortable and overlooking the water. Great breakfast included in my rate on terrace overlooking the beach. Can’t recommend strongly enough.

The hotel is a great location right across the street from the bus stop and ferry. I pretty sure there were no steps like Poistino. Breakfast was great. Clean room, staff is great. No balcony.

It’s a great property with wonderful location with good breakfast. Just next to ferry and bus station and market. Except it’s a bit noisy (being exactly in the center) in the night and they only allow check in at check in time (2 pm), everything else is wonderful.

Quick 1 night stay in Amalfi after taking train from Rome to Napoli and hiring a private car to visit Pompeii and then over the mountain to Amalfi. The Residence Hotel in Amalfi was right across from the beach and the pier on the main road. Despite the hectic scene outside, once we entered through the glass doors, it was peaceful and serene, and the staff were helpful, polite, and very accommodating. The room was tidy, AC was fantastic, and the included breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Europe. I would love to return some day and definitely return to this hotel! Restaurant looked amazing but we did not dine for dinner. The rooftop bar is wonderful!

Pleasant stay. Helpful staff. Nice room but very noisy, overlooking bus station and harbour/ ferry dock. No bar or lounge area, so nowhere to relax or escape to. Would not recommend Amalfi for more than a day trip.

4/10 Fair

Not sure if it was only my room that had these problems but the air conditioning did not cool the room enough and you could hear everything going on outside. Could not sleep at night because of this. Obviously the doors/windows are not sound proof. For the price you pay you expect at quite and air conditioned room. Also, maybe the property should remodel the rooms, it looked dated. Stay away from room 1, especially in summer. The plus about this property is that it is convenient to the town square and bus/ferry service.
