I only stayed one night here at the Imperial. It is a huge hotel with beautiful grounds and swimming pools, and right across from the beach. There were lots of families with children around. I was here for business so did not utilize all of the facilities. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent. There is an attached small shopping plaza next to the hotel. There is a pedestrian overpass to get to the beach, so use it - don't try to cross the street (although traffic in Vung Tau is not too bad). I did not care too much for the room however despite having a balcony overlooking the beach. The decor in the room (old colonial style) was just not my taste. My room had a separate living area with a small kitchen, but it was just oddly laid out. The bathroom was just so small. Overall, the Imperial is definitely worth a stay as it is one of the more upscale hotels in Vung Tau, especially if you want to be on the beach. Please make sure to watch the warning flags on the beach for strong waves and undercurrents. On the day of my visit, warning flags were up for most of the day.

I'm really disappointed at a 5 star hotel quality. I expected at least a working bathroom but the drainage was terrible and our whole bathroom was flooded after 1 bath. I called for room service to clean & fix, all they did was opening the cap of the sewer in the shower and a few hours after, the whole room smelled like sewer. Room was small and everything was over priced.

    perfect hotel in Vung Tau

A very nice hotel and even nicer people!!! I lost my phone and the girl in the business center on Sunday did EVERYTHING possible to help me. Even went to a place I thought it could be with me to help. I don't remember her name but she was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All staff very nice and friendly, good pool and beach. Edwin at pool was TREMENDOUS and looked after you like you were the only person there. Asked for a late check out and was granted till 3pm. HIGHLY recommend

Definitely coming back when I visit Vietnam again

Easily the best hotel I’ve ever been to, and I travel all over the world. Everything about imperial met and exceeded my expectations. Bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby.

The front desk staffs need to be trained. How can you call this a 5 stars hotel when the front desk staffs fail to smile at the guests? Not only that she has failed to notice the birthday, she also didn't even say happy birthday. Which was very cold. The bellhop was very nice and friendly. At the end, checkout definitely took too long. We sat that for more than 15 minutes for room check when it wasn't busy. There's no one else checking out.
