Great location, value

The hotel was a great value. The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean, there was ample space to put our stuff. There was no AC in out rooms, but the windows opened and kept the temperature pleasant-to-cool. The frint desk staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was wonderful with so many choices.

Excellent hotel

This isn’t a fancy hotel, but it had the perfect family room for our family of two adults and two teenagers. The rooms and bathroom were spotless, and the kitchenette with fridge and microwave was handy. Breakfast was not extensive, but the coffee and fruit juice was great and the food very high quality. The staff on reception and friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, two separate tram routes within a five minute walk, and walkable to the market square. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Helsinki, especially if you are a family and want kitchen facilities and a separate bedroom for the children. It’s clean and tidy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

This was a lovely, old hotel, situated conveniently near to the city centre. It offers very good value for money and the staff are very hospitable. If a comfortable bed and a good night's sleep is exactly what you need, then this is the hotel for you. Breakfast is included, well stocked and sets you up for the day. Would we stay again? Yes, absolutely

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Convenient location. Not the most up to date decor but had all necessary facilities - wifi, hairdryer, decent breakfast. Best thing in the bathroom was the heated towel rail so your towel was always warm and dry. I only stayed one night, but it would be very handy if you were there for longer and wanted to wash and dry some clothes!

This was the only hotel I could find in the middle of the city centre within my budget despite booking several months in advance. The single room, the facilities, the cleanliness and the buffet breakfast were all quite good for the price. There are tram stations all around the hotel to different attractions while many of the attractions including the ferry to Suomenlinna are walkable. All types of restaurants are in close vicinity to the hotel.

I had a single room and honestly, cannot remember when I last time had such a tiny room, maybe max. 8 sqm or 86 sqft. It was on 6th floor and unfortunately there was a heat wave in Helsinki, and the rooms facing west so it was hot like a small sauna. Very kind receptionist offered me a key to open the bigger window to get in some air in the nighttime. Breakfast was below average, personnel not very friendly. Location is great, no question, the hotel is totally outdated, but it was very clean. The picture on Expedia shows the whole building , giving the impression it's all hotel but the mayor part of the building is actually church facility, some kind of "Free church of Helsinki" = Helsingin Vapaakirkko.

Rahalle vastinetta

Vastaanotossa oli erittäin ystävällinen ja lämmin vastaanotto. Huone oli 6 kerroksessa, pieni, mutta toimiva. Huoneessa ei ollut ilmastointia, mutta ikkunan sai auki, eikä kadun äänet juuri unta häirinneet. Aamupala oli vaatimaton, mutta sisälsi kaiken mitä yleensä hotelli aamupalalla voi odottaa. Hotellin sijainti mainiosti keskellä kaikkea. Tulen varmasti uudestaan ja suosittelen muillekin!
