Our stay at The Lince Hotel was wonderful! The outdoor grounds are absolutely stunning—filled with beautiful flowers, butterflies, and charming seating areas that make you feel like you’re in a fairy-tale garden. It’s the perfect place to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous buffet offering plenty of choices, plus the option to order freshly prepared dishes from the menu. It was a great way to start each day. The rooms are spacious, beautifully maintained, and the beds are incredibly comfortable with soft, high-quality linens. To top it all off, every member of the staff was genuinely warm, welcoming, and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would happily return!

The hotel is incredible, from the beautifully restored monastery and beautiful decoration to the breakfast, everything is simply done to perfection. The Lince Santa Clara is a jewel of a hotel, the historical building has been beautifully renovated. The furnishings and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. The restaurant Mosteiro is exceptional, with food of an impeccable standard. Finally, all the staff in the hotel are courteous, friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to visit it again.

A very warm welcome from the moment you arrive. The hotel is beautiful, spacious and has a lovely scent. The bedrooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable! Breakfast is highly recommended with a range of food to suit all your requirements. Amazing cocktails in the evening with two different restaurants! Staff were friendly, always available to offer support and couldn’t do more for you. The spa area is serene with a heated inside pool. If you follow the aqueduct downhill you get to the metro which is easy to navigate if you want to get onto Porto. A great place to stay .

We spent three delightful days at this remarkable hotel over the São João holiday. Set within the walls of a former monastery, the property exudes a breathtaking charm that is both serene and timeless. A true gem among luxury accommodations, it provides the perfect setting for a few days of relaxation and quiet indulgence. This hotel is true luxury. Staying in the most perfectly developed historical building was nothing but joyful and relaxing. The staff are proud of their roles, warm and professional. The hotel is immaculate. Rooms were cleaned to the highest standards and also turned down each evening with a home baked sweet treat left. The spa was not half measures and again is perfect. I had in fact booked this hotel by mistake, believing it to be in Porto…..it turns out to be the best mistake I made. Taxis cost no more than 18euros either way and using uber was easy. The area has lots of good restaurants that reminds be-food at the hotel is again top notch. I have nothing to even make as a suggestion as improvement for this hotel. My only negative point would be the area whilst having history is fairly unkempt.

If you’re planning a trip to Northern Portugal, do not miss this treasure. We felt so lucky to stay at the gorgeous recently renovated former convent. The design is stunning; the food is incredible, even if you only have breakfast or a light poolside lunch. There are many dining options in the town walkable from hotel.
