Was not sure what to expect, but once we arrived was blown away. the service from the minute we arrived to when we checked out was amazing. The quality of the food was something you expect to find in top restaurants. Pub style garden with lots of comfy seating and class. Location was perfect, we will 100% be going back.

Lovely place to stay. Stopped off for overnight stay on longer trip, ev charger was free and available which was amazing. We were running a little late but they called us to check all ok and confirm our arrival time, very thoughtful indeed. Breakfast was delicious and staff were all very polite, engaging and attentive. Room itself was beautiful and a very comfy bed as well. Great night sleep before heading onwards on our travels. Definitely would stay again and would recommend as a must stop and visit place!

A night at the Fuzzy Duck

Lovely hotel room was small but had everything we needed, beautifully decorated. Could have done with a shelf in the bathroom as nowhere to put washbag. All very clean (please change your toilet brush it was disgusting) and bed very comfortable with lovely bedding. Food was good, great choice at breakfast in really nice surroundings. Staff were super helpful and efficient.

Noisy bedrooms

Noisy! If you want a good nights sleep maybe not the place for you. Noise from music downstairs until 11:15pm far too loud. Noise from other guest rooms slamming doors, when I did finally get to sleep got woken by slamming doors and the country road was actually very noisy windows did not block out traffic noise. Bed however comfortable. You have to ask for shampoo and conditioner, at the price paid though this was very odd not to have in the room already. Body wash was provided. Did not hang around for breakfast as tired and just then wanted to get home. Apparently the food is great but did not eat so cannot comment.

The Fuzzy Duck is wildly overrated and ridiculously expensive for what they offer. I believe they think they are a subsidiary of Soho House or similar but in reality they are a pretentious pub unable to deliver. The rooms are quite nice but with plenty of flaws ie poor lighting whereby you can't have the bedside light on without having all the ceiling spotlights on too. The desk didn't have a lamp so the ceiling spot just shone down on my laptop screen.There were no drawers to put clothes away and the only hanging space was via some weird contraption that lo oked loke it might have been a old train luggage rack. The bed has a blanket cver on it that is similari in maeriatl to a would put on the floor if I was painting a wall at home
