View from both of our rooms was spectacular. Restaurant was very good. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially the driver that transported us to and from the hotel. Hotel is outside the town in a rural area with stunning views of Grindelwald (there is a bus that stops at the hotel). One of our rooms was very large and quite nice. The other room was smaller but still nice. Only minor concern is we booked two suites but the quality of the rooms were vastly different. It's unclear if one room was upgraded or the other was downgraded... but the hotel was so beautiful we didn't bother to ask about it. Very highly recommend.

Loved the stay with excellent views of the mountains, spa as well as a great breakfast spread and vegetarian options for dinner. Wish we had the option of using the microwave in the deluxe suite we were in, but otherwise the experience was fantastic. They also offer free pick up and drop from Grindelwald train stations. Will definitely stay here if I visit Grindelwald again.

We had an absolutely wonderful 3-night stay at the Aspen Alpin! Grindelwald was our favorite spot in Switzerland and we loved being a bit removed from the main restaurant/shopping area. We had a suite and we loved the extra space. And the mountain views from our room were incredible! The restaurant and service were excellent!

The views are spectacular, the room was comfortable, and the sauna was a nice amenity. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The property, especially the lobby and restaurant, was absolutely overwhelmed with flies. Not a few flies here and there, but dozens. Every meal involved constantly swatting them away from food and drinks. It was distracting, unsanitary, and impossible to ignore. What made it worse was the apparent lack of concern from the staff. The issue seemed so normalized that nobody appeared interested in addressing it. There were no visible mitigation efforts, no fly traps, and no attempt to improve the situation. It felt very much like “that’s just how it is.” Ironically, there seemed to be more flies inside the hotel than outside. For a property charging Swiss hotel prices, this was completely unacceptable. The stunning mountain views cannot make up for the fact that guests have to battle insects while trying to enjoy a meal. I would not stay here again.

I can’t say enough good things about Aspen Alpin Lifestyle Hotel. Any negative reviews must be from competitors or people who booked beyond their budget because this hotel is nothing short of incredible. While it’s rated as a four-star hotel, it could easily be considered five stars based on the level of service, quality, and experience they provide. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that both the owners and staff take immense pride in their work. Their hospitality was unmatched. My flight was delayed due to a plane crash at Toronto airport, and without me even asking, they adjusted my reservation by a day to accommodate the delay—truly above and beyond service. The food is absolutely spectacular, the spa is amazing, and the views? Breathtaking. The rooms are luxurious, with massive 700 sq. ft. suites overlooking the Alps—pure perfection. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape from city life or a first-class experience in the mountains, this is the place to be. I’m appalled by any criticism of the owners. They are some of the most welcoming and accommodating people I’ve ever met in the hospitality industry. Thank you for an unforgettable stay—I’ll be returning yearly!
