Absolutely fantastic place! We felt welcome and comfortable throughout our entire stay. Very family- and child-friendly, with a lovely pool and a delicious breakfast buffet, including a special section just for the children. Everything was well thought out, and the staff were friendly. Great location. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a lake view(possibly due to building work at the back of the hotel) which was fantastic. As we only did a long weekend didn’t even notice the works. Short walk (10 minutes) to town centre with its restaurants and charm.

The hotel has been very recently renovated, the interior design is really beautiful… staff is helpful and friendly. We stayed in junior suites and a terrace suite with lake view and they were amazing and spacious. A few amenities missing, like conditioner, tissues and body lotion, and carpet throughout makes it hard to handle luggage, but the rest is so great that it doesn’t matter in the end. Overall, great!

The Grand Bristol hotel is by far the very best of all the places we have stayed so far, in Italy. The rooms were extremely comfortable. The bathrooms with their beautiful modern design were an unexpected surprise! The beautiful gardens & pool, the luxurious rooms, the wonderful views, the warm and friendly staff made this an extra special place to stay with our family. So welcoming and hospitable for those traveling with babies too. We loved the fact that most of our excursions were walking distance, including the launch point to the boat ride to the Borromean islands. The Palace & garden tour is a must see. It was beauty beyond words!

The property has been updated to a very high (if slightly impractical) standard but some decisions are incongruous. The worst decision was to replace all the grass at the property with astroturf. To have plastic grass in an area of outstanding natural beauty is a crime. In room fixtures and fittings are top quality but again there are issues. The lighting controls are baffling and some come on and go off by themselves. The towels are not particularly nice (and there’s nowhere to hang wet ones), the toilet paper is of poor quality and there’s no conditioner provided. You only get 1GB of free WiFi and they won’t provide an iron for ‘security reasons’. Rip up the plastic grass and take care of a few wider issues and this place could be so much better. There is a lot of 5 star competition in the area and this currently feels more ‘Dubai’ than ‘Dolce Vita’.

The minute you walk into the reception area you are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The property itself is gorgeous and newly remodeled and restored. Every detail is gorgeous! It’s very modern and in good taste. The pool is spectacular and the pool bar is special. The rooms are spacious and had a lake view with a balcony. Beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect close to any thing you want to do. We took a boat to the Iobella island and the jumped in the lake. Highly recommend this property

Veldig hyggelige ansatte, flott rom og balkong. Svært rent og høy standard på interiør og design. Vi hadde et standard dobbeltrom med fjellutsikt. Bassengområdet var perfekt med solsenger, sittegrupper og sofa over hele området. Beliggenheten er også meget bra. Frokost var 10/10. Helt fantastisk. Eneste som mangler er et treningsrom (men det skal visstnok bygges ila vinteren).

Utroligt lækkert nyrenoveret hotel i topklasse. Desværre er baren ved poolen mega dyr. Vi bestilte toast ved poolen som ikke var ordentligt tilberedt. Vi klagede og sendte dem retur, kort efter kom de samme toast tilbage kun en smule varmere. Til de priser laver man nye toast til kunden. Ved afrejse fik vi at vide at der på fakturaen var euro 66 på service, men det kunne vi undlade at betale. Det gjorde vi også, men syntes det var en voldsom pris, på et hotel hvor man har givet euro 470 pr. overnatning.
