Vergognoso overbooking!!!!

Sono arrivata in hotel con il voucher e mi hanno detto che la stanza acquistata a 120€ per due notti (categoria deluxe) non era disponibile perché sfortunatamente occupata da qualcuno che era arrivato prima di me! Non era altresì disponibile una stanza superior, ma solo una standard ( tra l’altro nell’ala meno curata della struttura ), del costo di 20€ a notte, di cui allego un paio di foto.

Hope the renovations help

The first day we arrived at Abian Biu, it seemed very quaint and cute. We got a great price thru Expedia, and it suited our basic needs. Each morning we received an Indonesian breakfast with fresh juice. A couple days into our 6 night stay, there was loud construction going on literally right outside our window. Considering we saw two other occupants checking in and out during our entire stay, it seemed that we could have been moved to a room in the back where there was not loud construction until 10PM every night. As the days went on, more trees were uprooted for relocation, hotel decor and appliances were packed, and almost all of the hotel rooms were being renovated. Since we deliberately chose a budget hotel, all these things were not completely shocking... until the last day before we were to leave for the airport, there was not an employee to be found, the girl delivering our breakfast said there would be no fresh juice because the blender was coincidentally "broken" (probably packed up), and when we picked up the phone to call the front desk for a cab, it turned out the phone lines had been shut off. Even with low expectations for a budget hotel, it seemed the hotel could have made easy adjustments to make our stay more pleasant in light of the fact that we were apparently their last guests before they shut down for a total renovation.For our next trip to Bali, I will choose a hotel closer to the beach. This place was a 45 minute drive to everywhere we wanted to go.

Abian Biu Residence - Bad experience

We went to the hotel and we were supposed to check-in for two days but they had huge constructions going on and they asked us to move another hotel. We accepted that but we were demanding only one thing. We don't want to stay in Kuta area. Nevertheless next hotel was in the heart of the Kuta.

mooi authentiek balinees hotel prachtig gelegen in de natuur!midden in de rijstvelden en op 10minuten rijden van Seminyak! hebben zelf een scooter gehuurd wat wel praktisch is maar ook met taxi prima te doen! vonden de service en vriendelijkheid van personeel uitstekend en altijd behulpzaam.goed en vers ontbijt bij het zwembad waar je zalig kon zwemmen!!kortom uitstekend hotel zeker als je van de gekte van kuta weg wil en toch dichtbij!wij komen zeker terug voor ligging en erg vriendelijk personeel. Worth a visit

Although slightly out of the way and without a free hotel shuttle service, taxis are cheap to nearby Kuta/Legian/Seminyak and they will happily order you one. The breakfast is served until 11am which means you can have a lie in - and they clean your room while you have breakfast! Pool is nice and warm, and the staff are friendly. Our room had a lovely balcony and a stone shower. Overall, a really nice place to stay.

Henkilökunta ystävallistä, vastaanottovirkailija kuskasi minut illallispaikkaan moottoripyörällään (n 1km) seka tilasi pyynnöstäni hierojan (+manikyr, pedikyr) hotellille. Paikka on pienehkö, vain n 10 huonetta, yksilöllisiä, kauniita aasialaissisustuksia, viihtyisän puutarhan ja patsaiden ympäröimä, yksilöllinen, maaseutumainen ympäristö. Ainoa haitta oli vieressä kulkevan tien liikenne. Sisäpihan huoneet tod.näk. rauhallisempia. Kiva iso huone, parisängyllä, hyttysverkot, ulkona kaksi patiotyyppistä parveketta, wc ja suihku ulkona indonesialaistyyliin, toimii. Suosittelen. Uimaranta ja meri on kauempana.

Nice hotel but could use a little maintenance... The wooden deck is a little worn and the front fountain, is nice, but if they'd clean the water, it would be nicer. Room was nice. Bed is a little hard. No bathtub, but nice shower. Very nice pool. Service was good, but the excessive charges to have someone come to the room for a massage was a little much.

Hotel is situated in a busy street. So yes, away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, but very noisy. Especially rooms with street view. Heavy traffic starts at ca. 5am. Also the hotel is outdated. Old furniture, old bathroom, dirty curtains. Breakfast nothing special. Not recommended.

in such an expensive area this was a well priced option and enabled us to dine out and do the pricey things within seminyak. the staff are lovely. the rooom was comfy. the whole place needed a lick of paint though and a bit of TLC. but as i said it was a very good price for the location. dont think i'd stay again though.
