The window in our room was very old and the wooden frame was falling apart and the window was covered with black thick mould. We booked a table in the restaurant for my birthday. We were only people sitting in the restaurant, however the waitress left us. We sat there with no service. We had to keep asking for drinks and food. Our desert arrived 25 minutes after our main course. We sat there for hour and a half just waiting for the service.

We stayed for 2 nights with our 6 year old in a Fabulous room. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was nice but it was abit tired and could do with a refresh. There was an awful smell in our room which we didn't notice until we closed the window but it seemed to be coming from the carpet. And we did notice alot of damp patches on ceilings and wallsas we were leaving. All in all it was ok but if we had paid full price for the room (we booked on a deal) I would have been extremely disappointed. It didnt live up to up the luxury standard they advertise on instagram or even compared to some of the 'Fabulous Rooms' they advertise on their website as being bright and airy. The room was over looking the river though which was lovley and the facilities in the room were more than adequate. The bed was comfortable and the trundle bed they set up for our 6 year old was perfectly fine. We ate in the onsite restaurants both nights. One restaurant is the Swan Inn which is more pub type food and the other is the Brasserie which is more restaurant quality. Both are nice but can be quite pricey but haven eaten there before we was expecting this. The only thing I would say is the Vegetarian options on the Pub menu need looking at there isnt much choice. The staff in the hotel were all friendly and generally the hotel has a warm cosy atmosphere. We didnt use the Spa facilities but we did use the family pool which my 6 year old loved. We would stay again but I would
