The hotel is very very nice, loved the look of the place, the cleanliness of the rooms, wasn’t a typical boring hotel either, it had a lovely bar and restaurant, really couldn’t ask for more I had a fantastic stay here.

The hotel itself was very nice but I would not recommend staying here in Kate spring or summer. There is no AC and it was incredibly warm in our room even in early spring. They offered us a fan but I don’t think it helped much, nor the fact that they put us on the top floor where it was easily the warmest part of the whole building. The lobby and common area was beautiful. The views of the lake were spectacular and the restaurant was good and their staff very friendly. Not sure if we just got bad luck with our room but we had issues with the shower where every minute or so it would get really freezing cold followed by then scalding hot. That was persistent all 5 days we stayed. Additionally our toilet had problems the whole trip where it wouldn’t flush off and on and would continuously fill itself with water all night long. The maintenance tried to fix it but it kept doing it even after they said it was fixed. Overall, I would stay here for the views again but definitely not in wake months!

The Esplendor was a really great hotel and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to El Calafate! The staff was super friendly at the desk and in the restaurant, parking is easy, and it’s a quick walk from town but set back enough to be quiet. The rooms are large, comfortable, and well decorated. Really had an amazing stay!

Enjoyed my stay at the Splendor by Wyndham El Calafate immensely. It was a very nice luxurious lodge, with spacious and comfortable rooms, lots of spaces for food and coffee, excellent cuisine, very friendly and professional staff, in a convenient location with Lake Argentina visible in the distance, with El Perito glacier accessible by guided or self tour. El Chalten and Mt. Fitz Roy are about 90 minutes from the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel.

Wonderful hotel, incredible views, nice staff, great food!! The only ‘negative’ feedback was the very old TV with no English channels and really bad picture quality. 🙂
