The hotel is in a great location. Our room was quite small but able to access a balcony which was very nice. Maria, front desk staff member, was very pleasant and helpful.

6/10 Good

The room was ok, not too big, but that’s to expect. The bathroom was tiny, there was mold on the shower door and the towels are like sandpaper. On the good side: the staff is great and the location is amazing. Close to everything.

This is an outstanding location. Very close to everything! The staff were very helpful. The beds are ok when it comes to comfort but the fabric on the platform of the bed is very tired! All walls need painting not just in the rooms but everywhere down to the front door! Overall this hotel needs an overhaul it’s decor is very tired but we would come back here for sure. Everything in Iceland is very expensive but we found this hotel to be reasonable!

4/10 Fair

I had a 1 night stay. The reception staff was very good. The room was pretty basic but had a comfortable bed. The biggest problem I had was the external noise. I could clearly hear the people outside in the nearby bar and other guests talking in the corridors. The window has a roller blind and the design of such allows light to freely penetrate at the side, it's didn't affect me too much (September) but would be a problem in the summer months when long hours of daylight. The breakfast was good and helpful staff.

Location: convenient downtown which comes with good and bad. It is good to be close to attractions, bad to be close to traffic noise. Staff: excellent, very kind and helpful Room: bed was one of the most comfortable I have had in my life. I slept so deep!!! But the bathroom and shower was so tiny. It is inconvenient that they don’t allow early check in, this is very difficult especially for traveling customers from overseas. We flew from US and got there at 1 pm and still were told to wait another 2 hours . I hope they can change that rule and be a bit flexible. Overall: I had a good stay and will be back. I love Iceland and the people there. Very special place for me.

Great location, walking distance to all downtown sights and many restaurants nearby. Clean room, friendly staff, typical breakfast buffet. My only complaint is that the bathroom doesn’t have ventilation so prepare for a steamy room after showers

It’s a moderately priced hotel in a very good location. The rooms are “basic”. Nothing fancy but perfectly serviceable. It has a very nice restaurant attached.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ódinsvé! The location is fantastic and made it so easy to explore Reykjavík on foot. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, and finding our room was simple. We also had a wonderful meal at Snaps Bistro downstairs. The food was delightful, and having such a great restaurant right at the hotel was a definite bonus. Our bedroom was comfortable, and the towels were especially nice. There were a couple of downsides worth mentioning. Parking is not included with the hotel and wasn't particularly easy to find nearby, so that's something to keep in mind if you're renting a car. The shower was also incredibly small, and the wispy shower curtain got a little too friendly with me while showering. 😂 Overall, though, we had a lovely stay and would happily return. In fact, we've already booked Hotel Ódinsvé again for our family trip to Iceland next year!

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Management just turned over in the last month or two. This hotel was once a dormitory hall for college students so the decor is kinda funky. We ate at the restaurant on the property. There weren’t many menu options but the meal we had was excellent!!
