EVERYTHING was great. We've traveled most of the world and found one of our best hotel experiences just a few hours up the road. The staff was remarkably friendly and helpful but not falsely so. Quick story: one reason for this trip was to get away on the anniversary of our adult son's death. We casually mentioned this to our server at breakfast. That night, when we got back to our room, there was a vase of fresh flowers, a nice personal note, and coupons for a couple of breakfast buffets. Yes, it is a bit expensive but we have visited plenty of expensive hotels that treated us like we were lucky to be in their presence. Not this one!
