Edinburgh stay for Tattoo 2025

The rooms were comfortable and excellent for a few days stay. The breakfast was excellent. The location was a little walk from the Royal Mile, but still convenient, with bus ervices available if needed.

Much better than I expected for the price, which was a real bargain for Edinburgh in August. And an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet included! Would definitely use again.

Student staff was very courteous, friendly, and provided the extra information we needed to find our way around town
STEWART, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Typical student dorm room accommodations. Great breakfast buffet with loads of options. Quite loud in the halls from other visitors. Overall good stay. Front desk staff were super helpful and kind.

Walking distance to Old town and the Castle.
Ronald, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Several choices for breakfast. Need to add bumpers to the doors. The self-closing doors slammed making lots of noise. Carpet needed to be steam cleaned.
John, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

There was mold in the shower and stains on the carpet, and the rooms had no soundproofing. It was hard to fall asleep due to the snoring coming from next door. Breakfast, on the contrary, was quite decent considering British hotel standards.
Jorge Alejandro Pineda, 1-night trip

Did the job Overnight stay Reasonable rooms, plenty of beverages
Howard, 1-night trip

Peter, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Decent room with great breakfast

The premise provides a relatively economical accommodation option in Edinburgh. While it is not particularly close to the prime areas, there is good access to public transport, enabling us to explore the city easily. Room is a bit small but sufficient for a short stay. Breakfast is fantastic with loads of options.
3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Functional rooms, great breakfast and location

Basic but functional rooms. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Easy 20-minute walk into the centre of Edinburgh.
Tim, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Happy over all

Comfortable stay, the room wasn't in the best condition however what can you expect for a student hall. Very happy over all, would stay again.
Oliver, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Pretty good.
Phil, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

The Reception building where you need to check in is difficult to find. The bed was comfortable but the room was way too hot. The shower/washrooms were not clean and I only heard three other people staying in my area. The elevator was out of service for over 12 hrs and I was on the 5th floor. The campus has food and drink options that are convenient for weekend stays if you don’t want to go off campus, however breakfast (free) doesn’t start until 7:30 am. The room was very clean.
Patricia, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice big breakfast buffet and checking was very quick even though it was at a time when a lot of students were checking in for the school year. Considering it was just days before classes it was quite quiet all day and night.
Mark, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

As this is probably the fifth time I've been here, I have said everything already. It's good, especially at festival time. The breakfast is brilliant. Not a fan of single beds, but I knew before I booked so it was a known known.
