Staff were lovely, and everything was very clean and well maintained. Amazing views, great facilities, excellent service and food, and a lovely location within easy reach of the town! The only downside was that during our stay, there was a conference and a wedding, meaning the Skybar was hired out and we didn’t get the chance to use it. I’m not sure if the hotel regularly hosts these kinds of events, but it’s something worth bearing in mind. That said, it wasn’t really the hotel’s fault, just unlucky timing on our part! Everything else was great 🙂

Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. We had a magnificent view of the cliffs overlooking the beach and the swimming pool from the terrace of our room, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was elegant, varied and quite delicious. We could not have been more pleased and plan on gifting a trip here to our son for a honeymoon.

We took a girls trip here for four days. The spa was amazing, the pool had ample space and chairs for everyone. It was great to be able to see the ocean and hear the waves (many hotels along the coastline sit further back eliminating the sights and sounds). Location along the hiking trail was perfect and access to town (easily walkable) was convenient. Now for what wasn’t perfect - the a/c never dropped below 22 during our stay - maintenance came everyday and said it was working fine (after several days of our comments on this topic the hotel was very apologetic for our stresses) . Lighting in the bathroom was very dim, service at the restaurants was lacking (but the actual food was delicious - we had sushi twice and room service - the breakfast buffet was also lovely).

Carviero is a delight and the ocean/cave front location cannot be beat! That being said- we were disappointed in our overall stay given the price and wouldn't consider this a 5 star hotel. The hotel itself is outdated- umbrellas broken, pool/pool deck worn, rooms small with limited technology. The food was quite poor and everything had an extra cost to it. Overall, would consider a drink in the Sky Lounge but would not stay here again,

Requested ocean front and didn't get it. There was some construction going on outside our balcony, but the rooms were spacious and really clean. The housekeeping staff (especially Fernanda) was amazing!
