10/10 Excellent

Fun rustic old lodges. Decent bar. Excellent dining room. Nice trail to sunset view
Margaret, 1-night trip

You don't need to visit multiple overlooks in the skyline drive if you stay here. Easy 5 min hike of Black Rock trail on premise will be sufficient. It truly was a hidden gem for fantastic view! There was no air conditioner but a portable fan in my room. It wasn't super hot in July but a ceiling fan would have been nice.
Jun, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Good mountain view. The room has AC. But honestly. In this area. AC is not necessary.

The lodge is situated in an incredibly beautiful location. The views are breathtaking and nature/wildlife is all around. It is a rustic setting, but the facilities were well maintained and the staff with friendly and very helpful.
