Good location + service, relatively comfortable
This was a pretty good hotel for NYC. I guess the Millennium Premier is separate from the regular Premier. (I felt a little special just for that.). We had our own special check in area and got free continental breakfast and snacks and drinks at refreshment hour from 5:30-7:30. Nothing super fancy, but the sentiment was nice. The place doesn't quite look "as romantic" as the pictures, but that's essentially what professional photos are for. We had some problems at night getting to sleep because there was a really loud couple next door. We called the concierge desk and said we were having trouble sleeping, and they sent security up, and things were quiet. We really appreciated that because it allowed us some much needed rest. Other than that, you couldn't hear the sounds of Times Square from our window. The location was great. Nice being near all the stores of Times Square and near major subway stops. That's a bonus. But only down side is that because it's so busy, it's a bit hectic getting in/out by cab. For what we paid (given NYC), is was a pretty comfortable setting. We made sure to pick something with AC and a relatively high comfort rating. The pillows were a bit on the stiffer end and got kind of warm after a while. In general they weren't bad... But if you're used to memory foam or cloud like fluffy pillows, they weren't quite that. (I may have been spoiled elsewhere.). The bedding and comforters we're good though. Bathroom had a tub!

Good location for Broadway shows
We picked the hotel mostly for its location in the Theatre District. I don't know why a big hotel has a tiny, impractical revolving door that makes it difficult to enter with a large suitcase. Added to that first impression was a robotic young lady who checked us in--obviously frustrated of having to repeat the same information for every new guest. So let's get it over with! The room was small, as NYC rooms tend to be, but clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no mini-bar, and the in-room safe was well positioned for anyone 6:2 or taller. A small couch and minimal desk was available. Room for a single suitcase. Shower and bath. A hefty "resort fee" is added to your bill (about $34 per night) whether you use the gym or not. I did, and I was completely alone on the 16th floor in the adjacent Millennium Hotel. I was given the wrong bill under the door on the day of check-out. The room was pre-paid but payment was requested once more! The receptionist reacted angrily at this mistake and tossed it aside. In the end, she did apologize, but the handling of that mistake was less than gracious.

Wonderful, But...
My wife and I loved our room. It was a nice size with both a tub and a separate shower. We had a nice view of 44th Street with a view of the 2019 New Year's ball. I would have given our overall stay a 5 if it weren't for not having a refrigerator. They should never have removed them from their original under-counter area. We had to separately ask for a refrigerator and, unfortunately, it never became available. That was frustrating since we wanted to keep cold the desserts we bought for a treat later in the evening. Additionally, there wasn't an ice machine on any of the floors. We had to ask room service for ice every time we wanted it. Needless to say, that became tiresome. The location of the hotel was ideal. We were within walking distance to a bar we like, Broadway and Times Square, and the theater district. In fact, there were two theaters on our side of the street, probably not more than 100 feet from the hotel's front door.
