Great Hotel to Escape Downtown and Enjoy
I enjoyed my stay at Boro. Very convenient access to Queensboro Plaza train station with one of the most spacious rooms I have stayed in while in the city. The tub was terrific and the balcony also made the hotel feel unique. Only negative is that there is nothing, at all, in your room. You have to request everything from a fridge to an ice bucket and a glass. Since that is the case a lot of their appliances are very well worn and don't work extremely well. However, it was only a minor inconvenience with everything else being terrific.

Overnight staycation
Pros Comfortable bed and beddings Room temp good and AC quiet Bath toiletries good quality Towels and robes are nice 2 complimentary bottles of water Accommodated request for late check out Courteous staff Cons: Area is not so desirable (a lot of construction and noise will wake you in the morning, also you will pass car repair shops and garages) Room was not ready at 3pm check in Room is run down, towel hook is falling off, Power outlets loose and some not working No coffeemaker(only tea kettle provided if requested) Scuff marks on wall Soaking tub not cleaned well Patio furniture dirty, lounger broken and table wobbly. Wine hour is actually a complimentary glass of wine and not all you can drink for one hour. You have to pay for the 2nd pour. Complimentary coffee in the lobby is only offered until 8am I feel like most of the amenities at standard hotels are not readily available here, if available you have to ask them individually. Which is a pain because for a traveler that wants comfort and relaxation you want to come to the room and just enjoy and not worry about what you need in the room. Somewhat frustrating.

Why you should choose The Boro Hotel
We discovered this hotel last year and absolutely loved it. We were actually looking forward to staying there again this year. Both times we stayed we found parking on the street as soon as we pulled up. The rooms are very clean and spacious it just makes you feel good while staying there. We upgraded to a room with a balcony and it was worth it. The balconies are also very spacious and enjoyable to hang out on. Compared to other hotels you get a lot for the price. It’s very easy to upgrade and doesn’t cost much more. The staff is very friendly and there when you need them at all hours of the night. We look forward to staying there again next year and in the years to come!
