I want to give a shout out to the man working the front desk after 11:00 PM on July 22. I was exhausted and didn’t catch his name. He was so kind and helpful. If you arrive late the doors to the lobby will be locked for guest safety. He let us in right away though. He explained the options for parking, which was not fully explained to us earlier in the day. There is a free lot across the street and a paid gated lot that costs $20. We opted for the free lot and our car was fine overnight. There is a nice restaurant upstairs that has a view of the downtown. It closes at 9:30 PM and opens around 7:00 AM. The room was comfortable and had amazing water pressure. This was great after walking around Sequoia National Park. I also loved the complementary water and snacks in the room. I would stay here again.

This hotel is beautiful, very well located, exceptionally clean… the room is cozy, comfortable, well designed, and the shower is amazing!! But what made our short stay exceptional was the service: Yesenia, who checked us in in the evening, was very courteous and friendly, took our needs in consideration, and made us feel very welcomed - a 5 stars check in experience; our server at breakfast was so nice; and then Maria at the front desk in the afternoon was so sweet to us while I hung out for hours at the lobby with my toddler - she made sure to make us comfortable as well as welcomed! Absolutely great service!

Lovely hotel. Very bouji. Nice big room and despite being on the first floor, was very quiet. Didn't get a chance to use most of the facilities but the coffee and snacks were generous, the parking easy ($19 a night), location great and the staff friendly. Very happy with our stay.

We had a great one-night stay at The Darling. Both the hotel and our specific room were immaculate. It felt luxurious just to chill on premises and the rainfall shower was a 10/10. We enjoyed the heated pool and had dinner at the rooftop restaurant Elderwood. We interacted with staff a few times and always got quick and helpful responses. Was treated with a bottle of champagne in the room and a slice of cheesecake at dinner for my birthday. Also the free room treats are a small but noticeable gesture and every hotel should do the same. Would definitely stay again. Would love to see the other rooms and try breakfast at Elderwood next time.
