My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the darling hotel. The room was large and well appointed. We had drinks at the bar and dinner on the rooftop hotel and the food was delicious. We also took a swim in the outdoor pool, which was lovely. I told the staff that it was my husband‘s birthday and they did a really lovely job of balloons and a delicious slice of cake. Couldn’t have been nicer. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Darling Hotel! It’s a beautifully simple and charming hotel with so much character. The cleanliness was superb, and every detail made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Their hospitality was exceptional and made our experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend The Darling Hotel to anyone visiting the area. It’s a wonderful place to stay, and we would definitely return!

Beautiful place downtown. The building itself is very old. It has been renovated. But kept the amazing charm of the old building. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were large. The shower was amazing. Except that it is only a shower (no tub) and it has a horizontal window that shows from the waist up. Little uncomfortable. Needs to have optional shade/curtain. It was a very quiet hotel. And there’s a good pizza place within walking distance. Appreciated the fenced in parking. Staff was awesome. Very nice and accommodating. We would stay again.

Location is central to the city, and if you’re going for the national parks it’s a reasonable distance. Despite being renovated in 2020 there is absolutely zero soundproofing to the rooms; someone had the idea to build a hotel directly next to active train tracks and not give any sort of protection from the noise (what a fun cacophony at 7:30am!). Though, even simple noises from the parking lot were audible. The A/C in the room also emitted a loud squealing noise whenever it was on, and when the front desk was informed they said “oh okay, was anything else wrong? I’ve already checked you out.” So that was neat! On-site parking is also an additional $20. Shower pressure is great though.

We checked out the pool area, but many of the sofas and lounging cushions were covered with old leaves that had been there for a while. The area seemed neglected and not inviting. Trash and dirty dishes stayed outside of a nearby neighbor's door for a full day and a half before they were finally collected. The front desk staff often did not even acknowledge us when we passed by. An employee in a dirty apron sat on a guest soft chair near the exit door to the pool scrolling through his phone for some time. The fitness center is a bit gloomy, tucked away in the basement with no windows and no inviting decor or lighting. The best thing was the rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view, good service, and a lovely Meyer Lemon Rigatoni.

Overall hotel is beautiful compared to a business style hotel. Vibe was good, staff was friendly. BUT the curtains behind the bed was full of dust, cannot close the curtains all the way properly so the street lights leak in. The biggest con of this property is its sound proofing. The motorcycles, the cars, you’ll definitely hear them at night. If you are a light sleeper. AVOID AVOID AVOID
