Great service, staff were very attentive and friendly. Bedroom was very spacious and the molton brown toiletries were an added bonus. The swimming pool was really nice and clean . Food and dinner and breakfast was very good . Drinks were quite expensive but was expected for the hotel. Beautiful grounds. Will be back

Lovely hotel. Great room with a beautiful view. The service was exemplary, particularly from the bar staff in the evening and the breakfast and afternoon tea serving staff.

Beautiful historic hotel.

Lovely historical hotel, friendly staff who could never do too much, lovely spa. Wedding event meant it was quite busy when we arrived. Check in would have been quicker if the bloke in front of us wasn’t after every discount or upgrade he wasn’t entitled to. The weather was even great making it lovely to sit in the grounds in the evening. Gardens were sculpted to within an inch of their lives.
Denise, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely stay - good-sized room and bath.
Jenny, 3-night trip

Gorgeous hotel!

Beautiful building with a fascinating history. As an older guest I found the rabbit warren of corridors and endless staircases stressful. We were actually given a room at the very end of a corridor on the third floor( there is no lift). Happily the hotel changed that for us and so we enjoyed our stay. My advice is if you have any mobility problems you should let the hotel know on booking a room!! It’s a lovely hotel in a lovely setting and the staff are excellent. Our dinner was very enjoyable and all things considered, I would thoroughly recommend a stay here. It’s really close to Stratford with all its delights.

8/10 Very good

Stayed for two nights for family wedding (at another location). Manor House and gardens are beautiful. Room was large and bed comfy. Good breakfast in lovely panelled room Falls down on cleanliness (dusty in places) and generally needs a refresh /lick of paint/ new carpet in public heavy used areas.
Graham, 2-night trip

A very nice hotel situated in a beautiful historic building. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent. Our room was lovely.

Beautiful hotel, clean spacious rooms. Facilities easy to access and food was amazing. Definitely be using this hotel again
john, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Terrible service, had to leave early due to illness and no help provided or consideration, despite offering to pay to stay again to make up for missing spa treatments. Awful, won't be back
Matthew, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

We arrived at the hotel and from the outside it was lovely but once walking around the grounds was very disappointed, broken tables and poorly kept grounds. The hotel corridors were dirty and very dated. The room was an ok size, bathroom had recently been renovated which was nice but the bathrobes were extremely worn and in need of being replaced. The view from our room was non existent as it looked out onto an extremely noisy air con system which made sleeping very difficult. The restaurant was nice, some music for atmosphere would make it a lot better. The food was great but the service was at times lax with having to ask for cutlery and napkins several times then again a long wait and asking a second time for the wine which we had reordered. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Overall I would have been a lot happier having paid half the price of what we did. It needs a lot of work in places to make this hotel the grandeur it should have. I left feeling a little disappointed overall.
Room view
Broken tables around the grounds, which should be removed

From the first minute we walked through the door you could tell the hotel was a very special place, steeped in history and charm a truly beautiful place and staff were excellent, we only stayed one night but will be back again hopefully when the weather gets warmer I could imagine it’s even better when the weather improves in summer, breakfast was fantastic and you could see quality produce has been used , slight niggle, we wasn’t offered the option is poached eggs it was only when I saw others at another table, also the bathroom has a bit of dust over light fittings a mirrors
David, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Room was comfortable and all staff were friendly. Dinner and breakfast were lovely. Bar area is a little crowded however and used as a thoroughfare. Overall a nice relaxing place to stay.
Kerrie, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely Hotel, in great grounds. Fine historic building. All been refine since we were here many years ago. Comfortable rooms, and very clean. Staff very friendly but under pressure at dinner so long gaps between courses.

Whats not to like - all good

We only stayed one night whilst on business in the area, good free parking excellent location for Stratford, quiet rooms and excellent buffet breakfast. Would stay again if in the area.
Stephen, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Lovely stay with a few problems

We had a lovely stay, that staff were very stretched and the business needs to think about adding additional staff as they came across rude. Overall, we had a lovely stay despite this.

Beautiful Hotel and location

Was on a business trip to the area and spent a lovely evening in this beautiful hotel. Great history and location. Excellent service from very friendly staff. Pool wasn't available when I visited but given a credit to use in the bar which was welcome. Only slight criticism is that the bar menu was pretty limited in the evening

Lovely hotel but poor meal in restaurant

Hotel very nice. Staff helpful and friendly. Room lovely. Spa facilities good. Evening meal in Stuart restaurant really poor which was a disappointing aspect of our stay
1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great hotel in a great location.

Great 2 night stay. Easy check in, but once we entered our room we here a continuous humming which we felt was being caused by the spa/pool machinery. However, the reception had no hesitation in moving us to a quieter room. The issue was very well handled without delay. Restaurant and other facilities were great, would certainly return for another stay.
Steve, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Wonderful, but

The hotel was wonderful and the service generally excellent. I would say however, that the dining and bar prices were relatively high and certainly at that price point, I have enjoyed another level of higher quality
